The welcome was marvellous. I'd driven from Geneva and because it was low season, nowhere was open to eat. I was starving. The sweet, kind hosts gave me some bread and cheese and an egg and a glass of the splendid local cider. You may not need this, and it's not a service they offer, but it shows how truly hospitable they are. Nice big bedroom, lovely hot water, good wifi.

We stayed at Kern in Seytroux to get away from the busier ski towns around the Porte du Soleil. We were away for just 2 days of skiing and were looking for one night accommodation. Kern was the perfect choice! The town is super quiet, the rumble of the river by our window put us soundly to sleep. The room was lovely. The bonus was dinner at the restaurant. We eat out a lot and our 5 course meal was superb and beats out our favorite restaurants. The staff are very accommodating and were able to ensure we had our breakfast earlier than normal for us to get back out to the ski hill. We would return to enjoy the area more and do some hiking - another stay and chance to eat at Kern would definitely be part of the plan! We arrived in the evening and left early in the day so didn't get a chance to enjoy the beautiful country-side.

This was by far the most amazing stay we had in a very long time. Yvonne and Dick were the best hosts and they pampered us daily. We travelled with our dog and he also had a great time to run around and play. We relaxed and ate a lot of good food, and we recommend to everyone to come here, is it paradise on earth! Looking forward to return soon, thank you for everything!
