The breakfast was superb, Caroline was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome as did her husband Keith. You don't feel like a guest here, you feel like family. Boots the little terrier is lovely, wanted to bring her home!!

My expectations were matched and exceeded. Tim and Sue went out of their way to make me feel at home. The breakfast is glorious. The grounds are jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The pool is restorative. The St. Bernards are loving and playful. I loved my time at this Medieval house and in beautiful Long Crendon. If you want thatched, half-timbered houses, this is your town. It has more of them then any town in the UK. Forget Anne Hathaway's Cottage in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Long Crendon has that multiplied by close to 20. Several good dining options from English food at 8 Bells (recently reopened) to Thai at the Churchhill Arms. The market town of Thame (pronounced Tame, as in a shrew) is a 10 pound taxi ride away and full of dining/shopping options. Be sure to take the train from London to Haddendam & Thame, not to Aylesbury. Oxford and Blenheim Palace are good day trips easily accessible by buses, but plenty to do locally. Consider Brill uphill (Brill on the Hill) north of Long Crendon. It has a lovely restored windwill which is quite the meeting point. If Medieval England is your itch, Long Crendon Manor and environs will scratch it.

The place is great. Very clean. Getting the key was easy. Backyard is really nice with good sitting areas and completely fenced in securely, if you have dogs and that's a need. Kitchen was big and had lots of amenities. Bonus that there were 3 bathrooms - 2 full and 1 half. I was pleased and would recommend.

We loved the village location, which was quiet picturesque and friendly 😀 It was a short drive to Bicester village. The Room was lovely and had a nice feel at home feel to it. The bathroom was just BEAUTIFULLY and had to take advantage of the freestanding bath 🛁 The pub/restaurant was very nice, very good food and attentive staff. Free parking Dressing gowns Toiletries Lots of attention to detail Etc, etc, etc Would definitely recommend. Our room was longhorn 👍

The staff at The Pointer were exceptionally friendly, helpful and welcoming, not only to us but also our dog. The room was incredibly comfortable, spacious and clean. Parking was easy, the pub was great, good supply of dog treats and vegan options on the menu, the village of Brill was lovely to walk around.

Lovely room with a large bed, great bathroom, fantastic location in an unspoilt village. Real ale served, parking only on-street but plentiful and convenient - all the staff friendly and helpful.
