Only 5 minutes drive from nearest Farm Shop, Kirkby Stephen and Smardale Nature Reserve walk too.
Loved sitting on the verandah wrapped up warm with a drink enjoying the view, nice and dry while it was raining.
A coat hook or coat rack would be a great addition to the Shepod.

It had all the facilities I needed, was very comfortable and very centrally positioned just off the main street, with easy access to local services. The layout of the apartment was well designed and finished and functioned very well, and clearly is well maintained. From the moment I arrived I dropped into an easy, home-from-home way of living in the accommodation. I would love to stay there again.

United KingdomFig Cottage has the wow factor. It has a stunning modern interior, and is thoughtfully set out. There is a bench by the front door to sit down and put your boots on, with trays for shoes after a muddy walk. The OS map above the bench is great for planning trips. There is a well appointed kitchen (coffee machine, microwave, cooker, hob, toaster, dishwasher, fridge, wine fridge, decent set of knives) and utility room (freezer, washing machine), a generous dining table and a huge roomy sofa by the log fire. There are three bedrooms upstairs: the beds are so comfortable we meant to check the make of mattress and pillows, but forgot. My daughter left her ukele at home, and was thrilled to find one, albeit small , in the cottage. The sideboard under the stairs housed numerous games, and my son treated us to his music, which he streamed from his mobile to speakers in the ceiling. Still not sure how he did that. We were 5 adults, and didn't feel that we were crowded in the open plan space. We did not make use of the courtyard seating, sauna, table football, wine cellar, or extensive cooking facilities as our stay was short. We will be coming back to explore the area properly, and enjoy this luxurious cottage in the future. The host is lovely, and extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

United KingdomSo many useful little extras like tea, coffee, milk, tea towels and a lovely card with a bottle of Prosecco on arrival. We also loved the sauna. We loved that there was also a 2nd living room where our children could watch the TV on their own and the owner was really kind and extended our check out time which was super helpful.

We had the most wonderful stay at Row End Farm and honestly couldn't have asked for more. The caravan was absolutely spotless, with lovely clean, fresh bedding and fluffy towels waiting for us. Everything had been thought of – there was even a Ninja Air Fryer, which was a brilliant touch! We were also greeted with a lovely welcome pack, which was such a thoughtful surprise. There was a delicious cake, fresh milk in the fridge, and tea, coffee and sugar ready for us after our journey. It was such a kind gesture and made us feel at home straight away. The location is so peaceful and tranquil, and we loved being surrounded by all the animals. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel so welcome throughout our stay. We had the best time making wonderful family memories here and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. We highly recommend Row End Farm to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Five stars from us! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Everything!! Well kept, well loved gem of a place. Very unique and full of character. Well equipped kitchen that had everything you need to make a good meal. Lisa and Mark were extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning.
