Staff were very welcoming, room was neat and facilities were really good.

The place was very cosy and spotlessly clean with many lovely details and touches. It has all the amenities one would need for a perfect short stay. We really enjoyed it and would gladly come back.

The staff were friendly and the chief cooked us a meal when we arrived late due to the traffic from London on the A1. He also cooked us an early breakfast as we had to leave early. I’ve stayed in a lot of places due to travel but they all say, ‘computer says no’ when ask for food late. A true family pub. The room was small but just right, very clean and with a great bed and shower. The pub is a mile from the A1 so away from the traffic, relaxing and easy to find with places of interest near by. Parking is opposite off road but very safe even for bikes. When I’m up next time it’s a perfect stop.

What a beautiful cottage, home away from home. From start to finish it was just perfect. My little girl especially loved the piano… morning, noon and night! Haha.

Such a lovely cottage, fairly cool in the heatwave. Garden a good size for our dog. Everything we would need in a kitchen and the tv for late evening. Hot tub great, even when hot outside - it's in the shade and there was a lovely breeze. Comfy beds and sofas inside and so light and airy throughout, bathroom especially. Welcome pack (bread, milk, butter etc) which was really thoughtful and handy!

Everything. The cottage is beautifully decorated and like a home from home. Warm, safe and located in a lovely village with a long road you can take jogs or just walk up and down and take in the country views. It is located next to a pub but it is quiet and if your a drinker or like eating out.. the menu looks great. The nearest shop is a 15 min drive at most.. so convenient to get your day to day items. There is a beautiful wood burner and a great easy chair and comfortable sofa to relax in. It has been decorated through out to a high standard. The patio garden is private and when the sun comes out there are a few good sun spots to find where you can just sit and relax. The shower works just fine plenty of hot water. The owners are delightful and kind and I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality. . The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of everything that you need..a home away from home.
