A very welcoming home from home, run by the charming and kindly Sandra. Fascinating house full of history, with turning stairs and exposed beams aplenty - at the same time equipped with every mod con you could think of! Fantastic value and an extraordinary place to visit, and super convenient for the very pleasant town of Halstead.

Any breakfast requirements would be self service in the small kitchenette. Very impressed with quality of fixtures and fittings, king size bed, wonderful double headed shower, flat screen tv with sound bar, high quality bedding and linen, fabulous hosts!

I loved the very friendly welcome. I also liked that everything I needed available.

The lodge was superb. Very clean, very well thought out and comfortable. The enclosed patio area was perfect for the dogs and it was easy to park next to the property. The standard of furniture, fixtures and fittings was very high and the property was decorated tasetfully.

It’s a lovely two bedroom cottage to stay in, in a gorgeous village. Comfortable beds, perfect bathrooms and a relaxing kitchen diner. I loved having a morning coffee outside on the patio overlooking the duck pond and it was a great place to have a drink in the evening too. The farm shop cafe with a delicious breakfast next door and The Victory pub for a delicious meal, only 2 minutes walk away were the icing on the cake. Thanks Hazel. X

Me and a friend of mine found this place by chance to visit a friend that lives nearby. We could not be happier that we found it! The breakfast was a very pleasant surprise too! The photos are the exact same as the place is in real life! Lastly, Jean and Rod are very kind and helpful and they should be proud of the place! We cannot thank them enough. We will definitely come back!
