Really dog friendly, .ade us feel so welcome and they had a toy for him in the puppy pack. Food was fantastic. We both had the sole and it was delicious. Staff were all really lovely. Great location for Hadrian's wall We will definitely be back

Well located, beautiful grounds and excellent vista but the view from the room window was onto a dirty roof top unfortunately.

Location was wonderful as we are older ladies and the walk from train station was short and easy.. The staff very friendly and accommodating. Short walk into shopping area.

The lady that checked me in was very helpful. Room was very comfortable, nicely decorated and furnished and had all the facilities needed. Nice bar with a good selection of drinks.

The rooms were well provisioned and cosy. Little things like chocolate bars and a good selection of tea bags are always appreciated. The staff were very attentive and the hot breakfast included and made for me fresh (not just left in a bane marie) reprisents the best of the english style of hostelry, now dissapearing to Travel Lodges and Ibis Inns.

Fantastic pod, very spacious and cosy. Location in the valley was amazing, gorgeous sunset and the stars at night were something else. Will 100% be back, and this time for 2 nights :)

Absolutely loved the place. While in the country it was not far from attractions, especially the Roman ones. We had a great evening meal when we arrived, staff were so friendly and made us so comfortable. Morning cooked breakfast was also fantastic. Great place to stay

Very nice location in the heart of what there is to see in the area. It was very peaceful and quiet and was exactly what we were looking for. Elizabeth was helpful and looked after us very well.

Very clean, cosy, well equipped, everything you might need was there, very friendly owner, a game room the boys enjoyed very much, just a lovely place to stay and explore the town and surroundings. Thank you!
