Location brilliant. Immediate surroundings River and Chollerford Bridge awesome and also accessibility to Military Road by car excellent. Great value. Friendly knowledgeable staff at check in and out. All other staff friendly also.

The owners were friendly and their hospitality was fantastic. The breakfast options were lovely as you had the choice of many breakfast options including a full English, eggs Benedict, vegetarian or baps (which were great as we had an early start so could take them away). Plus coffees juices etc. The inn is a historic building and we loved the atmosphere and feel, it felt very homely. Acomb is a beautiful little town and we enjoyed walking the surrounding streets admiring the historic buildings. Very close to the AD122 bus route for exploring Hadrians wall. A £7 taxi ride from the Hexham train station.

The owner checked us in, was really good and told us everything we needed to know. My self and 3 others had rooms and all the same excellent standard. The hotel rooms have just been refurbished by the looks and there is everything you need in the room. Bar downstairs was excellent. Did NOT hear any noise from down stairs and slept really well. You are right by everything and apparently the train station in walking distance if needed. I can recommend the accommodation highly.

Lovely place and staff very friendly and helpful

The room was impeccably clean, the owners were warm and welcoming, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We had a delicious evening meal in the pub next to a roaring fire. The breakfast was delicious. We visit this area regularly and will certainly return.

Central location and great communication

The place was amazing. It was actually two separate flats which worked perfectly for our group. There were two kitchens, two fridges two living rooms. This was great as we had lots of space. The location is great too, only a 5 minute walk to the Abby, town or train station. The host was super responsive.

The location is idyllic. I arrived in the dark but woke up to lovely November sunshine in a beautiful, tranquil, isolated location on a working farm. Elizabeth, my hostess, was charming, helpful, and a great cook. I slept well in a very comfortable bed. The en suite facilities were more than adequate, and the freshly cooked porridge, sausages and eggs were delicious!

Tessa's place is absolutely fabulous! The location is so secluded and idyllic. It has everything you could need for a holiday plus more to make you feel so comfortable. It really felt like home. We all wished we were staying there so much longer.

Sue was absolutely lovely in welcoming us, even though we had a sudden change of itinerary - thank you for your hospitality! The nature surrounding Bardon Mill is breathtaking.
