The cottage was bigger than expected, we really enjoyed the log burners which were nice to sit by. Great unexpected touches such as a wide choice of Radox bubbles for the bath, a lovely welcome basket in the kitchen with an advent calendar, my son enjoyed opening a door each morning during our stay. :) The cottage was very clean, and the beds super comfortable. It was decorated nicely for Christmas too!

    Total surprise this place. We were there as it broke our journey and we wanted somewhere with a car park. This was one of the nicest places to stay ever. So friendly, food really amazing.

    Very friendly, and quick check in. Only serve food until 8pm on a Sunday, so we phoned in advance as we were hoping to arrive by about 7.45, having driven from Heathrow, and they arranged to have our order ready at 8pm, very considerate of them. Room comfortable, the ceiling fan was a bonus as it had been a warm day. Secure parking in the large car park behind the main building, electric chargers if you need one. Excellent breakfast, continental or a large full English. Hope to stay again when next in the area.

    It was quiet. On-street car parking was not a problem. Heating in the bathroom. Plenty of towels. I am not sure breakfast was supposed to be provided but there were packets of cereals in the room (some out of date, one open). Basic cooking facilities were provided but washing up has to be done in a plastic bowl (provided) which has to be filled in the bathroom across the hallway and emptied in the bathroom wash basin. It was OK for one night.

    Easy to check in, ample car parking at rear, room was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Evening meal was lovely but didn't get to sample breakfast as I had to leave early. Definitely would stay again

    This is a pub with a conference centre and bedrooms in a separate unit behind. There is plentiful free parking. The rooms and bathrooms were a good size and very clean. The pub food was very good and the cooked breakfast excellent quality. The staff were very efficient and friendly.
