We stayed in the newer stand alone cottage. It was by far the best stay of our entire 2 week trip. For the FIRST time, our room was spotlessly clean. That was the one thing that frustrated me. All of our rooms had at least one thing off and one (in Glascow) was a nightmare. This room was meticulously clean (and we kept it that way). The cottage is in the middle of flat farmland with the dramatic mountains in the distance. We could even hear the distant roll of the waves. I saw the aurora here! It was thoughtfully appointed with everything you would need. It had a nesspresso with pods, a kettle and basic spices, honey, oil, etc. They also had a electric water kettle, stove (no oven) microwave and toaster (for our lava baked bread!). If you can fit a somewhat remote stay into your itinerary, stop here for sure! It's not too far from Vik and other places, so it would make a luxuary basecamp for a multinight visit.

It was quite small and had everything we needed and a beautiful view at night. There were some animals we saw on property which was pretty cool as well.

The property is very cleaned. It is surrounded by nature and animals which we love very much. The host is super nice. We were double booked by Booking.com, but the host was kind enough to let us stay at her property because we could not find any other house.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and beds were efficient and very comfortable. The common areas were very colourful and comfortably laid out and free coffee and tea was available all the time. The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of showers available all the time. They also had shoe drying facility onsite given that this is a hiking area and laundry machine which is helpful. Breakfast which you have to pay for was plentiful but convenient and very good. We also had an incredible dinner there which we highly recommend.
