Very friendly owners, excellent food in the ristorante (homemade pasta) and wonderful ambience! Nice rooms and car parking in walking distance. We stayed three nights, had a wonderful time and will certainly stop there again when next time in the region.

The place was everything you can expect and more. The kindness and hospitality from the stuff and locals was incredibly. We very much recommend the Refugio to stay and enjoy Trassilico.

The hotel is situated on the hill top with beautiful views on Tuscany, surrounded by park and forest. It is beautiful, big hotel, consists of many buildings/wings. There is a pool, restaurant, and breakfast is held also outside on the terrace with amazing view. The breakfast is rich, various options also for vegan, gluten free or other diets. Room was beautiful, stylish, big, clean with coffee machine and with the balcony overlooking the valley. Very helpful and friendly staff, free parking is available but it is quite difficult to find it at first (especially in the evening). It was really an amazing stay.

Charming B&B with fantastic hosts We were looking for a quiet place to spend a few nights, preferably with our own cottage (with kitchen), a swimming pool, and beautiful views. We found exactly that! Veronika and Peter were wonderful hosts. Nothing was too much, and they made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of both sweet and savoury options. We loved the pool, and the view and surrounding nature is beautiful. There is also plenty to do in the area if you want to explore. We did a lovely hike, but you can also go canoeing, visit a nearby lake, or explore some caves. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again.

Remote property if you want to get rural, hilly stay in Tuscany. Very good restaurant in walking distance.

Exceptional place. Trip in time, or a fairytale. Taste, tranquility and pure beauty of nature. We enjoyed every second in this villa, would love to come back again!

Location is exceptional. Right by a little stone bridge across the river that runs through the hamlet next to Castelnuovo di Garfagnano. Town is a few minutes drive away with a good selection of restaurants, cafes, shops and supermarkets. even a cinema! Johanna was a delightful, albeit virtual, host, and very helpful with suggestions. Be careful of the river though. it can rise very quickly as my daughter discovered and Johanna warned. Beautiful walk up to the fort and back to town. An idyllic part of rural Italy.

Le Scope is an amazingly tranquil home set in the most idyllic of surroundings. The house is very spacious and equipped to high standards. We woke up to dramatic views with beautiful dawn choruses. We loved our trips along the woodland track to the main road, our sons were fascinated by the wild porcupines. Book this home and relax in the pool whilst surrounded by a mountain paradise; you will be creating long-lived holiday memories.
