The camp was amazing. Despite the rugged and rocky landscape around Zagora, there are plenty of smooth dunes around the camp where you can get a (controlled) feel of the desert - as well as snap some killer photos with the Anti-Atlas mountains in the background. The tents are comfortable and despite it being February and a bit cold (10°C) we slept well under the blankets provided. We were served tea and got to experience some local music sung by our berber hosts around a campfire. There was also dinner available for 10 euro but we did not need it; it looked delicious and plentiful however. Breakfast was also served when we requested it (very early) and it was also very filling. The bathrooms looked better than some hotel toilets I've seen in big cities. We even had showers with warm water. Overall it was well worth every euro. I recommend this to anyone wishing to have an experience, not just an accomodation. Just make sure to arrange for transport beforehand; we found a certain Monsieur Ali in Zagora to help us with a return journey. Keep in mind only Grand Taxis can go to the camp; petit taxis cannot leave Zagora.

The staff are the most friendly, helpful and lovely people you can imagine. The Berber hospitality is unrivalled. We also appreciated that each tent has its own private flushing toilet and shower. The amount of food at dinner time was staggering. Go hungry! The courses kept coming. The camel ride at sunrise was unforgettable and my teenagers loved the quad bike tour. You must pay for everything in cash so bring enough.

The owner is also a guide! We didn't plan anything, so we were very lucky that we could book a tour to Erg Chigaga on the spot, and left 1 hour later for a 2-day trip by jeep. It was very well organised. The owner of the kasbah, and for 2-days our guide into the desert, is very kind and helpful. The place is well designed and the room was very comfortable. For me, the tour into the desert was the best part of our 2 week trip through Morocco. We stayed 2 nights in Kasbah du Bout du Monde and 1 night in Erg Chigaga in between. I definitely recommend this!

There was nothing I didn't like on arrival and during my stay at the new Zagora Oasis Lodge. Nestled behind a traditional abode enclosed earth wall is a tranquil Palm oasis. Entering into this private Palmerie was akin to stepping into another world far from the madding crowds I had left in Marrakech. The natural, traditional rammed earth architecture has been beautifully renovated and attention to detail is evident, often an oversight in Morocco, it was such a pleasure to find everything so pleasing to the eye. After a long drive through the Atlas Mountains and Draa Valley, to be able to arrive at such a welcoming and relaxed place in a unique 'other worldly' setting felt heaven sent ! The rooms are of Moroccan Riad quality with stylish attention to detail. King size beds with high quality bed linens and beautiful decorative items. A/C that also doubles as a heater was a welcome offering during my stay in February as the early mornings can be cool. You can see and feel that the local owners have put much considered thought into this place for the comfort of their visitors, so much so that I returned to extend my stay before returning to Marrakech after a Desert Tour to the towering dunes of Erg Chigaga, which the lodge also offers and provides. This is the place to stay if you are travelling to and exploring the Southern Saharan region. A place that will stay forever in my memory and one I intend to return to with friends for an extended stay. Stylish, authentic and traditional is a heady Moroccan accommodation mix for sure. One of the best places we have stayed in Morocco. There is a great attention to detail, the pool, the garden, everything is stunningl. We decided to have dinner and the food was absolutely delicious. Too bad we couldn't use this oasis for longer, will be for next time. Thank you Mohammed!

Best stay in Zagora with Karim Sahara Prestige . And the best in all desert 😊 Location is perfect, tents are impeccable,Lighting of the camp area at night, under the stars, is beautiful. Dinner and breakfast, they are like the ones served in fancy restaurant The berber music by the camp fire was the mari on the cake! And the staff: Karim is so friendly, plus a good desert driver; Omar is very hospitable. Highly recommended!
