It felt cozy and welcoming, but still elegant. Traveling alone can sometimes feel awkward, but here I felt completely at ease. The staff were genuinely kind — always helpful, never intrusive — and made me feel like more than just a guest. I spent my days swimming, walking along the shore, hiking nearby trails, and simply enjoying the stillness. This place gave me exactly what I needed: space to breathe, think, and just be. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you — the kind that changes you a little. If you're considering a solo trip and need beauty, serenity, and a true escape — look no further. The hotel offers rooms with free WiFi. We really enjoyed our one-night stay at this great hotel, so much so that when we were in Schladming again two nights later we booked again. The rooms, while a bit small, are clean and comfortable and have everything you need for a short stay. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially Barbara. When we left our sunglasses behind in the room she called and emailed us to let us know so we could retrieve them. We can't recommend this hotel enough!

Hotel Steiermarkhof Graz - Aus Holz gebaut, von Hügeln geküsst offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi on the outskirts of Graz, a 20-minute bus drive from the city centre. The hotel features a bar and offers a breakfast buffet each morning. The room was clean and the location was good, even though the hotel is not situated in the city center. It’s a great place to stop for a night on the way to Croatia :)
