Just 200 metres from the banks of Lake Wörth, Hotel Plattenwirt is located next to the Europapark, a 10-minute walk from the Minimundus miniature park and from Klagenfurt University. It is reachable from the Klagenfurt-Wörthersee exit of the A2 highway. Free WiFi is available in the entire hotel. The best is the location as it is near the park, the lake and Minimunds. Everything is a walk away and the time spent there was truly more than a home feeling. Safe, positive and welcoming surroundings. The stay at the hotel was great. The room size is exactly how room with two small kids needs to be so that they can feel free and the staff at the hotel was amazing. Last but not least, the breakfast was one of a kind. Everything tasted great. The variety was huge and diverse but then again local.

We also took advantage of the free bicycle option and cycled all the way around Lake Worthersee, a very nice trip. Expensive but standard for the location. We didn't use the lake access but were given passes if we had wanted to do so.

Room was wonderful and comfortable. Breakfast was so amazing that I now order the tea that you served at breakfast because it was so wonderful. The bar tenders were amazing, and the breakfast staff were wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel.

We chose this beautiful place for our stay during Ironman Klagenfurt. We wanted somewhere relaxing but not too far from the race venue and this was perfect. I cannot describe how beautiful the scenery is and our suite at villa stern had a beautiful balcony and private terrace area to enjoy nature at its best. The whole of villa stern looks newly refurbished with a mix of modern and traditional furniture, The bathroom is a good size with lovely walk in shower, the water pressure was great and never short of hot water.. we had a separate lounge area to the bedroom. Both the lounge and bedroom opened out onto the balcony all with direct views to the pool and amazing forests. It is absolutely peaceful. Every morning breakfast is served from 8-10am, but on race day they prepared it for us for 4 am. The hosts are a couple and they are fantastic. They are so accommodating and will do anything to help make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was everything from hot cooked breakfast, to cheese and cold cuts, to cereals, yoghurts, fruits, croissants and regional delicacies, as well as a great coffee machine and a mix of teas and fruit juices. I cannot fault the cleanliness it was immaculate and they change the linens whenever you wanted and organised the room cleaning when you wanted too. The hosts also provide trips to venice which is just 2.5 hours away or if you go in winter they can take you just 30 mins down the road to a ski resort. The Villa Stern also has some bikes if you want to take them out for a ride. There is a cycle track just a couple of hundred metres down the road so it's really convenient. Viktring is just 10km down the road and there you can find shops and restaurants, but you will soon come to know that the villages surrounding lake klagenfurt are full of places to visit and dine. We had a fantastic time and are coming back next year for sure.

The air-conditioned accommodation is 1 km from Armorial Hall. The apartment features family rooms. Everything was absolutely amazing. The place is very comfortable, clean, kitchen well equipped. We arrived very late at night but the owner was waiting for us, helped with suitcases and explained everything. He was also ok with us staying a little bit longer on the day of departure as our train was later than the check-out. The location of the apartment is also very good and the shops are very close. We had a really nice, lovely stay in Klagenfurt, and if we ever come back, we would like to use the same place.
