The meals are fully vegetarian and beautifully presented. If you're not a fan of tofu, some of the dinner dishes might not be to your taste—but that, too, is part of the cultural and spiritual experience. I was initially anxious about sleeping on a traditional futon, but it turned out to be surprisingly comfortable and added to the overall sense of authenticity. A truly unique stay.

Our stay at Nonagase Guesthouse was an absolute treasure. The moment we arrived, we felt the calm and charm of this beautiful place. Dinner and breakfast were both incredible — thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and truly some of the best meals we had on our trip. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the futons were perfect after long days of hiking. Everything about the guesthouse felt cozy, welcoming, and full of heart. We left feeling restored and grateful, and we would love to return one day. Highly recommend!

Run me through all the equipment and helped with my luggage and time issue. Also the room is super clean and equipped with everything you need. Definitely recommend.
