The hotel is amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was immaculate with stunning views of the sea. Unfortunately since it’s low season,the outdoor pools weren’t working but they have a fantastic indoor pool and hydrotherapy. I came for my birthday and I was suppressed with a cute dessert set up, a bottle of wine and a room upgrade.

Very spacious, new and well equipped room. Nice hot water for showers etc. Quiet but central location.

Marea Boutique Hotels is set in Sliema, within 2.3 km of Portomaso Marina and 2.8 km of Bay Street Shopping Complex. With free WiFi, this 4-star hotel offers room service and a concierge service. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. It's a room with en suite and a tiny breakfast room and a receptionist who is there until 3pm daily. No bell hop, room service, concierge desk, bar or the trappings of a hotel. And it's brilliant. Our room was spacious and surprisingly luxe for the money. Compact but very comprehensive kitchenette (microwave, two induction rings, fridge, cutlery and crockery for two, coffee machine). Huge and very comfortable bed. Efficient air con which was needed as it was hot and humid outside. Tiles everywhere. Scrupulously clean. We also had a 'harem balcony' with a coffee table and a couple of tub chairs. ChromeCast on the large TV. Great position in Sliema just up the hill from the ferry and an easy hop to St Julien's. We didn't have breakfast included so only had it one day and it was a decent enough.

There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay. The bed and breakfast features family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. Our room wasn't yet ready when we arrived, but we were given the code to access the property's lobby and were able to leave our bags. The location was great for our purposes: about a block and a half to a major bus stop, less than a five minute walk to many bars and restaurants, and less than ten minutes walk to the main square. (We were not there for the beach.) We were also able to leave our bags in a secure location after check-out, so that we could go to one last museum in the morning before leaving Mellieha. Our room (Paradise Bay) was spacious, with all the necessary amenities, robes, a fridge, and nice supplies to make coffee or tea. We took advantage of the jacuzzi tub, relaxing after walking on the hills of town all day. Breakfast was at a cute café/shop a block and a half away and included coffee, juice or a smoothie, a pastry, a hot savory sandwich or pie, and water. The staff there was great. The neighborhood is quiet, with mostly older people as neighbors, and we heard no noise in the night from the street (which is small and one way).

Everything just makes sense with this hotel , the staff friendliness I can honestly say has exceeded any hotel I have stayed over the world . The rooms are just spotless with a beautiful layout and so many touches that shows so much attention to detail including a soft automatic light build in under the bedside locker . The beds are very comfortable, amazing bathroom complete with a good brand of shampoos/ conditioner/ body creams / bath robe . The breakfast has a very good selection for everyone ( vegetarian also amazing selection !) The hotel went above and beyond for my husbands 50th with surprise room decoration / chocolates/prosecco & a personalized card for him . The location is perfect ! Away from the noises streets but everything restaurants / stores etc just a 5-10 min walk. I cannot recommend this hotel enough ! You will not be disappointed
