I would always recommend to family and friends travelling this way. Very safe a secluded from busy traffic. This is my fourth stay at these premises.

Parking is up by the owners home but the B&B chalet is set behind and very private. You are invited to sit in the small orchard next to the property and even pick fruit if in season. You have views of the ocean and we listened to this during the night. Continental breakfast was provided and it was lovely. The bathroom is private however in a small building next door to the chalet... all worked out well and we had a very comfortable night here

Amazing Cafe Bagels and Coffee right on the Beach did I just say that,

Whispering Sands Beachfront Motel is situated on Waikanae Beach, just a 10-minute walk from Gisborne city centre. Gisborne is a fabulous city and Whispering Sands does it’s part, the amenities were great. Close to everything.

White Heron Motor Lodge is just 2 minutes' drive from the centre of Gisborne and 7 minutes' drive from the beach and the airport. Room was clean, bed comfy, shower and spa very nice. And the lady at reception was very friendly. This is how all accommodations should be.

Ocean Beach Motel offers comfortable accommodation in Wainui Beach, just 5 minutes’ drive from the Gisborne city centre. It felt like a home away from home — so cozy, clean and comfortable. The staff are amazing, especially Caroline, the manager. She made sure we had everything we needed for our Christmas BBQ and was just so accommodating and welcoming. The cleaning crew were also amazing and friendly. Then there’s the beach! Beautiful Wainui beach is a two minute walk away.

Set in a private garden, Tudor Park Motel Spacious with kitchens 1 minute walk to restaurant and shopping centre and Gisborne Hospital offers self-contained accommodation with free WiFi. Very clean & Tidy and comfortable beds
