Nestled between the jungle and the sea, right by the gorgeous Playa Bluff (not ideal for swimming but stunning nonetheless), the setting is pure paradise. With only 10 rooms, the hotel offers a peaceful, intimate vibe. Our spacious room featured a large, comfortable bed and a private balcony — waking up to the sounds of howler monkeys and birds was unforgettable. The swimming pool was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The service was excellent — the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. The food was delicious, making it tempting to dine in often. It’s about a 30-minute drive from Bocas Town, so I’d recommend having a taxi contact handy. One of our highlights was renting ATVs to explore the island — an amazing way to see more of the area (including the incredible beach “La piscina”) All in all, a 10/10 experience. If you’re looking for tranquility, nature, and a bit of luxury, this place is a hidden gem.

Guests can have a drink at the snack bar. We had an excellent time at Bird Island Bungalows. From the moment we arrived we were able to disconnect and just be present at this beautiful property. The staff were very attentive and friendly and always looking after us. The views are spectacular whether enjoying them from the deck, the pool or one of the two private beaches. Breakfast was well served and delicious. I'd highly recommend the granola. All in all we had a very relaxing time at Bird Island Bungalows and we sad to leave but we'll certainly be back some day soon!

The staff was super amazing and always smiling and looking to help even if we weren't paying customers at the restaurant, They had free beverages. They stocked by beer in their fridge. They allowed us to store our luggage for half a day after we had already checked out of the hotel. Just exceeded expectations whole heartedly. I have never seen any hotel do that for me ! Special thanks to the staff, who created such a great atmosphere, always friendly, attentive, and full of helpful recommendations. Choy, who speaks great English, answered all my questions beforehand, even helped me plan a special surprise for my partner and made sure we were having the best time throughout our stay. Alex, Jonathan, and José also provided fantastic service, always engaging and welcoming. Our favorite moments were definitely during the meals. The kitchen team did an amazing job with every dish. The food was incredibly tasty, creative, and beautifully prepared. The place itself is peaceful and relaxing, right in front of a beach where you can take long walks, surrounded by nature. There are also bikes available to explore the area and a ping pong table for some extra fun, even on rainy days. Oh, and they have nice background music. Everything was spotless, clean, well taken care of, including a beach view that added a perfect touch to the full experience. Thank you, Oasis Bluff Beach team!

Situated within a few steps of Istmito and less than 1 km of Y Griega Beach, Santuarios del Mar provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Bocas del Toro. Free private parking is available and the apartment also features bike hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. Perfect location just at the edge of town, within walking distance or a quick $1 cab. Morning coffee on the dock overlooking the ocean was beautiful, our apartment was spacious and bed very comfortable, AC in every room and a gorgeous view of Saigon Bay.
