They recommended to visit The hummingbird sanctuary which is 10 min away and must visit. The breakfast was good, coffee, bread, juice, all you need to start a day.

Incredibly beautiful, you can tell they take really good care of it, mountains in the background are unbelievable. Clearly built with the environment in mind. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and went above and beyond to help us. One of our laptops was stolen in the airport, and Hector the manager helped us file a police report and Maria even accompanied us and waited with us and helped with translations. The chef is also incredibly creative and even made to order meals for us that weren’t on the menu. The breakfast is also expansive and delicious and the service especially from Charlie was impeccable. They even packed us a breakfast to go when we had a very early train to Machu Picchu. It got a little chilly at night but they lit the fire for us in our room which was more than enough. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Lovely cat named Nirvana..ask the story about how it arrived to Ollantaytambo :) 15-20 mins walk from train station..5-7mins walk from main square, quiet to sleep peacefully. I would give an 11 instead of a 10. I read a review about someone saying they did not clean their room..they do clean everyday and even ask if you would like to have it cleaned. I would rebook this place again closed eyes.

A highlight of our stay was the resident black cat, who stole our hearts! This sweet kitty would join us in the living room for cozy cuddles each night and be there to greet us in the morning right outside our door. We miss him so much already! The hospitality was beyond our expectations. Tony, the owner, is a phenomenal chef who prepared delicious breakfasts for us each morning—perfectly cooked eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh-squeezed juice, and rich Peruvian coffee. We also loved the Sunday pizza night, where Tony made each pizza from scratch and baked it in his impressive brick oven; they were some of the best pizzas we've ever had! One evening, we wanted something lighter, and Tony made us a warm, hearty chicken soup that was absolutely delicious. The location was also ideal. It’s only about a 15-minute drive to Ollantaytambo town, and Tony was happy to help us arrange a taxi when we needed one, especially for our early-morning trip to the train station to Machu Picchu. He even packed us a breakfast to go, which was such a thoughtful touch. The peaceful, tranquil atmosphere at Casa De La Chola made it the perfect retreat after exploring. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and beautiful stay near Ollantaytambo.

The archaeological site of Ollantaytambo is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, the main square is a 10-minute walk, and the train station to Machu Picchu is only 15 minutes away on foot. We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Tierra Inka Sacred Valley. The staff, including the owner, really treated us well. The entire experience was positive.
