Sa Dec is the city of flowers and there are many pagodas to visit in town. It is magnificent.

We came for bird watching and it is absolutely worth for your money. The owner himself is also a bird watcher and an expert. The guide is very professional .

This hotel is outstanding for the price. We paid more for a bigger room with a balcony overlooking the (quiet) street out front. It's a new hotel with nice decor. The staff are very friendly and will help as much as they can.

It was clean, spacious and practical, and had both a fan and aircon. It was a table, chairs, fridge and a kettle in the room...and YES, the fridge did not come off when you left the room, so I could return to cold ones on the balcony in the evenings. The balcony was tiny and unfurnished though, but you might figure out how to get a chair out there. It was just the kind of room I needed in this completely untouristy town. Excellent WiFi. Friendly staff who speak some English. There's a cozy coffee shop 2 doors down the street and a big supermarket nearby.
