Hosts were incredibly kind and English communication was good as the hostess is the village English teacher. She was cheery, personable, a wealth of knowledge (we had many questions) and our favorite host of the entire trip. The location is divine. Room has a small balcony and you are welcome to enjoy a glass of red or rice wine overlooking a terraced rice field. Area is quiet, magical and Pu Luong was our favorite place in northern Vietnam. We enjoyed hiking each day followed by a great affordable dinner (there is a menu with many choices) at the Homestay restaurant each night. Credit card accepted with a 3% fee which is typical around the country.

It's in a remote village, the place is gorgeous, it's a traditional building with a palm leaves roof. The room is made of wood, so pretty. There is a pool. On top of all of that, the host was extremely nice. He speaks english and organises tours. I did a tour and we visited a Tai (ethnic minority) market and a weaving place where I could try the loom. The views were gorgeous! It's also walking distance from the waterfall. I really recommand it.

The staff, although most of them don’t really speak English, are super nice and attentive. They arranged a motorcycle rental for us, which is a must do in Pu Luong. The food was also delicious.

With information about the people and reserve, sights to see and trekking options, Tom is the perfect mediator for Pu Luong. The hotel is lovely, the view exceptional and the pool refreshing. The food is extremely tasty and portions are generous, we had the fish in soy sauce 2 nights in a row. The hotel was full the 2nd night, so Tom organized a homestay with a swèet family down the road and we enjoyed the hotel facilities, including a vietnamese culture evening with music and dancing. Thanks Tom for an exceptional time.

There is always someone to help. The pool is beautiful and at night there are colorful lights. The property is surrounded by nature, forests and rice fields. While we were there, there were two evenings of cultural performance and dancing and it was really lovely. We signed up for three tours through them and it was perfect. We enjoyed every moment.

A genuine ecolodge made of bamboo and second hand wood. An exceptional experience in this part of Vietnam (we wanted to avoid touristic places).
