Olive Garden is more than just a place to pass few days when in Siwa. As to technicalities: - excellent internet connection - working air conditioning - well sized room - beautiful garden, big space to chill and enjoy staying in the nature - amazing hospitality of the owners Thanks to them I had great laughs every day being a solo traveler and the only guest over there, I ate most wonderful home made fresh food, watched the starriest night sky in my life, floated in salt lakes nearby and the list goes on. Can't recommend staying in Olive Garden and foremost - meeting folks running the place - enough!

We booked 3 nights at the forest camp with Naggar and Abu Adam, but we ended staying 7 nights. We spent wonderful times around the fire with many friends of our hosts. They took us to many different places in order to enjoy our time in Siwa. On one evening we went see the sunset on the salt lake, on another one we've been to hot springs at night... Each places is more chill than the one before. The camp is really beautiful and peaceful, it's under the palm trees, it's just like a little paradise. We would love to come back again !

I was originally supposed to only stay one night at Paloma Lodge from 6 Nov to 7 Nov, but because I enjoyed my stay here so much, I decided to extend for 4 more nights, only checking out on 10 Nov instead. Paloma Lodge is very well located, with only about 5 mins’ walk away from Siwan town centre where all the restaurants, cafés and shops are located. Apart from that, it’s only a stone’s throw away from a fresh water spring, where it’s perfect for an early morning or mid-afternoon swim. The host, Captain Nair, is super kind, warm and hospitable! He made me feel very welcomed and because I was a solo female traveller, he would check on me when I’m out later in the evening. In fact, he invited me to dinners at the lodge with lovely meals, either prepared by the good Captain himself, or his lovely housekeeper, Safie! The lodge is very tastefully decorated and kept very clean. The one-room apartment that I stayed in was very cosy and was sufficiently equipped with kitchen appliances, such as; electric kettle, toaster oven and a fridge. I will definitely stay at Paloma Lodge again, when I come back to Siwa!! It was a very enjoyable and cosy homestay which felt like you are with family. A home away from home.

Hospitality at it’s best. Host made sire that everything went well. When we asked for a washing machine, we received a new one. Took us with his friends and had lunch all together. Will never forget this locals experience and will definitely come back.

The ecolodge was a haven of tranquility amidst the stunning desert landscape, the rooms were tastefully decorated. i particularly appreciated the eco-friendly initiatives taken by the Aghurmi ecolodge.
