Casa Qatzij will forever hold a special place in my heart. This space is truly a home and you’re a welcomed part of a family. The kitchen facilities are gorgeous and a lot of thought was put into it, similarly with the rest of the house. Truly, one of the nicest kitchens I’ve seen during my travels, with everything from sharp stainless steel knives to spices to cast irons!! There’s an exhaustive collection of novels, non-fiction, zines, and other readings materials and many cozy spots to curl into (possibly with one of the three animals who live here.) Everything is cleaned daily and I found my bed to be sooo comfortable after weeks of lumpy pillows are wiry mattresses. San Lucas Toliman is certainly a quiet part of the lake, but worth visiting! Veronica, Frida and I went for an excursion to Punta de Diosas (goddess point). it’s also worth noting that while the owner was away, his volunteer Veronica held the container of this space with such integrity and joy! I think it speaks volumes to the energy of this home that she is so wonderful. additionally- Veronica gave me the best haircut of my life. I’m truly leaving here as a different person. COME HERE!! Just live and be in this thoughtful, gorgeous home.

We got a private room and it was super clean & had a full kitchen which we definitely utilized. The staff were super friendly, and helped us with anything we needed. The restaurant offered a lot of options for food and drinks. The cocktails were especially beautiful! My mom and I walked down to the dock every night and enjoyed the amazing scenery & wildlife.
