Sometimes when travelling you end up in a place where everything seems to come together. This is such a place. Located on an island in the Mekong, close to the city of My Tho (just take a ferry, it costs only 2000 dong per person and goes about every ten minutes) but away from all the noise and hassle. On top of that, not only is it the only homestay on the island, it is the only whateverstay on the island. There are no other hotels, appartments, guesthouses or homestays. It's just a small Vietnamese village. If you want to live Vietnam style, this is it. Chuong, the owner, is a warm, welcoming, enthusiastic and helpfull owner, you can ask him anything. Communication was fluid and easy. There are no real restaurants on the island but do yourself a favour and eat with the family. The meals, cooked by his wife are probably the best you will eat on your travel through Vietnam. Our room overlooked the Mekong river and was spacious, had airco, a large bed and a desk. We had a clean private bathroom. And our room had a terrace from where we could watch the sunset. Or walk 2 minutes to the tip of the island for even more perfection. We rented a scooter to disover the other islands and even Ben Tre. Ask Chuong for directions. This is just the perfect spot! We felt sorry we had to leave, we could have stayed here for ages.

The host is super warm and kind. The room is huge and clean. Lots of green around - just a great place to stay and enjoy the nature.

Great room for that cheap price! Also very polite and helpful host. Nice location. You can easily reach the ocean, the Mekong or cities like Cho Gao, My Tho and Ben Tre from there. Street food only few metres away.

Struttura non lontana da un piccolo villaggio e a circa 7 km da My Tho. Ma se venite da queste parti è perché si vuole stare lontano dalle città e il bau bi è il posto ideale. Piscina, bici gratuite, lavanderia e motorino a noleggio sono solo una piccola parte di quello che può fare Tam per voi. Persona eccezionale e sempre disponibile ad ogni consiglio e richiesta abbiate. Un piacere averti conosciuto!! Grazie di tutto!

The Happy Farm is set in the most idyllic grounds-our children loved all the space to play. The hosts were fantastic and Oanh's cooking is exceptional. They helped us organise day trips and transfers too. Highly recomend as a place to stay when exploring the beautiful mekong delta.
