The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. My father & I voted this the number 1 property we stayed at for our entire UK trip. The rooms were beyond expectation. Big, clean & comfortable. The staff were beyond helpful. One even helped us push our car out of the carpark after a snow storm! They were super friendly. The location was also brilliant.

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. My two daughters and I stayed in one of the family rooms for two nights during a visit to the Lake District and we all were very impressed with Ravenstone Manor. The food was amazing, the location near hiking trails was perfect and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

The bedrooms were so clean, spacious, cosy, and modern. The beds were so unbelievably comfortable! The staff were so welcoming, and couldn't do enough to make you comfortable. The food was exceptional! Would highly recommend it to anyone, we'll definitely be going back!

Ouse Bridge House ligger i Bassenthwaite Lake, 15 km från Derwentwater, och erbjuder boende med en gemensam lounge, gratis privat parkering, en terrass och en bar. Location was ideal for visiting other places and a beautiful setting especially the sunrise on a good day... comfortable, relaxing house and room, very quiet...hosts Ben and V were very welcoming and nothing was too much if needed anything . breakfast was fab especially the toast...lovely local pub within walking distance The Pheasant inn... great value for money would definitely book again.

Whicham Hall ligger i Silecroft, 20 km från Muncaster Castle och 38 km från Wasdale, och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi och en trädgård med en terrass och bergsutsikt. The area is of outstanding beauty and wonderful scenery. The venue Whicham Hall offered us more than we expected, facilities were first class.

Bank End ligger i Egremont, bara 23 km från Wasdale, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, en terrass och gratis WiFi. Had the most wonderful stay at Bank End. Peaceful and in the perfect location for St Bees, Whitehaven and Cockermouth. The washing machine was so handy after a very wet walk around Loweswater. The cottage had everything you needed and was very clean. Comfy bed and super cosy. Great little garden and wonderful views. The neighbours were so friendly! Cannot wait to stay again.
