This is the best place to relax and get down in gear. read a book in the hammock. Go for swims in the lake. Go for a kayak trip. Fill your belly with delicious food. The place is adorable. The food is so good, generous portions and fair prices. Communal dinner every night means you get a chance to meet most of the other guest. Thereby also a nice place to go as a solo traveler. The staff and owner are super sweet. There’s a little yoga hut with lake view that I had all for myself to exercise in the morning.

Suggestive location with rooms in the canals with crocodiles (don’t worry they wont eat you!). Rooms were perfect for being a lodge. A couple of nice activities are available such as a walk in the jungle and kayak in the lake. Most pleasant surprise was the food… simply extraordinary for a low price compared to Europe, and I’m quite picky usually as Italian.

This rustic-style property offers a private beach area, BBQ facilities, a restaurant and bar on site, plus a gym. Mar Marine Yacht Club also boasts massage services and free WiFi access. We booked this hotel as we were driving to our destination. I called and asked if they would let us check in at midnight and they were happy to have us. When we arrived, they greeted us, showed us to our room, and said we could deal with the paperwork in the morning. When we woke up in the morning, I was astounded by their beautiful location, tranquility around the river, and excellent restaurant. The paperwork was fast and we had a delicious meal before continuing on our journey.I wish we had more time to enjoy their pool and riverfront views.
