The location is great; small island in lake Bunyonyi, perfect to disconnect for some days from the busy Kampala. There is not much to do around, but that fits perfect if what you are looking for is peace and quiet. The lodge has a private swimming deck to the lake- highly recommended to go for a swim there! And shoutout to the library they have- it made by day when I got there. They also provide with free Black Tea in case you fancy that as companion to the reading, appart from the great views. The profits from the lodge go back to the island communities, so we paid dinner with pleasure.

The domes overlooking the lake feel like a waking fairy tale — open to the breeze, filled with light, and offering one of the most magical views you could imagine. Lake Bunyonyi means “the place of little birds,” and it truly lives up to its name: you are surrounded all day by the songs of countless bird species, like living inside a Disney storybook. The team is exceptional — young, enthusiastic, and incredibly welcoming, yet also very professional. We also went canoeing to the nearby islands, visited a local school, and had lovely conversations with the students. This community has many meaningful support projects, and we really encourage future visitors to consider contributing to some of them. Well done to everyone at Paradise Eco Hub — keep going just like this. A truly dreamy place, and an experience we will never forget.

The rooms are very simple, but you will stay on the patio anyway :D

Nyamunyonyi Lake Resort se află în Kabale și are o grădină, un lounge comun, o terasă și un bar. A wonderfull wiev over the lake. We did enjoy the atmosohere by the peacefull place. The food was tasty and healthy. We did prefere the local organic food which was made for us in the restaurant. Also the breakfest was splendid every morning. San was the chef who made tasty vegeterian food for us from local organig ingredients. Peace was the best ever as a waitress, as she was smiling and talking with us . The cottage we had was perfekt with the astonishing wy to the blue lake. We did watch the birds, the stars and we made a wonderfull boattrip on the lake. We had also a trip to a village of pygmis. At the last night we did see a flying star! Then we had the change to hope that we could come back here again! There was also time to make some jogapractising by own. We did read books. We did make meditation daily by ourselves. Also we had time to make watercoulourpainting by us selves of the landscapes. I tried to paint the landscapes which did very much remaind me of William Turners paintings Everything was organaised by a fantastic personal! We were kept so well that it felt almost like at home. The owner Edvard was so kind. He did organise everything for us. It was so nice to visite the pygmivillage and dance with them. Edvard took us to the border of Ruanda. He did help to get trough the formalities. Ores was the excellent guide on our boattrips! Ores took care of telling us how to behave at pygmivillage. He did also tell us very many stories about Uganda. Kampu was the expert to make campfire and drive the motorboat. He was always polite and helpful. Charkotte, the manager, was keeping everything in excellent hands. Always smiling and always helping in everything. With the experiencis of travelling more than hundred countries we do highly recommend this lovely gorgeous place Lake resort! We do both feel like new persons after spending four nights there!! The room and bathroom are very large and clean. Quiet neighbourhood for a good night sleep but walking distance to the main road. Great value breakfast. Lovely gardens to relax in. Safe secure parking with a security guard.
