I liked the old fashioned feel of it and the fact I could see the burren from the window, on tippietoes. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was generous and good. It felt like being in an old country house in the 70's. We booked it for the location, to swim in flaggy shore and to walk in burren.

The host was very friendly, we loved watching the new born calves outside our window. Room was very clean and tidy and the shower water pressure was great. Great value for money, and having access to a microwave and crockery was great.

Eta and James were exceptional hosts and we were very pleased with our two night stay. Their home in the midst of their working family farm and the view from our room looked across farmlands to the Burren outcrops. Our cooked breakfast was very good and our room was spotless. Whilst a car is essential, we travelled easily to catch the ferry to Inisheer, walked the Doolin to Cliffs of Moher coastal path, dined at Monks in Ballyvaughan, and hiked the trails in The Burren National Park.

    Beautiful serene location and a great place to relax and unwind. Wolfgang and Maria were so welcoming and accommodating. The seating areas were cosy and peaceful and the honesty bar was well stocked. A little oasis that I hope to visit again in the future.

    It's was a good location, staff in pub, restaurant were lovely also in breakfast room. Food was very good in restaurant and breakfast room. Also I left my jewelry box in the room after check out, didn't realise until we were a few kilometres away, returned to find it was bagged and dated, which I was so grateful for. Thank you staff.

    An amazing hotel in the Ballyvaughan. Even though Ballyvaughan is small place, we were mesmerized by the landscape, environment and people, their kindness and hospitality. This is pretty much same in the whole Ireland. Very kind people, open and cheerful. Staff at the Hylands Burren was excellent, breakfast was very good. Location is very close to Cliffs of Moher (by car), which was one of the reason we came to this area.

    The location was great and the room was superb. The bed was enormous and there was plenty of room to move about. The bathroom was spacious and again, lots of room to put toiletries on. The breakfast was a welcome break from the usual fried food and we really enjoyed it.

    This was such a gem! Beautiful location, charming place, very welcoming hosts. We loved relaxing in both common rooms in the evening by the fire with a glass of wine. The honor bar was great. Breakfast was such a delicious spread. There was also fresh spring water available from well in house entrance. Would highly recommend to anyone and would absolutely stay here again.
