Tucked away in the beautiful Bavarian Forest 3 km from Zwiesel town centre, this guest house offers free Wi-Fi, bathrooms with heated floors and a spa and wellness area with a sauna. We had an apartment. It was spacious, airy, light & tastefully decorated. It had two balconies...front off the living room (great for watching the sun set), back off the bedroom. There were large common areas for sitting, cooking & eating if desired, but the best facility for us in this area was the free coffee machine that produced unlimited cups of cafe latte. A big plus was TV channels in English in the living room of the apartment. The bathroom always had plenty of hot water. Very helpful owner. Kitchen was very well equipped (though the addition of a microwave in the apartment or common area would have been useful sometimes). Close to supermarkets (walking distance less than 1 km)

It was an exceptionally good pension. The owners went out of their way to be helpful, including providing their own free 'taxi service' to take us to restaurants and the station (maybe 1-2 kms away). We also liked the fact that the village was very quiet and with few tourists. But an excellent base for waking and travelling by train to the Czech Republic
