This is a place everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. The atmosphere, the hospitality, and all the small interior details were beautifully put together. The food was amazing, and staying at the top of a tree with a view as far as the eye can see — such a unique nature experience. This was without a doubt the highlight of our trip to Italy.

This place is fabulous......the best place we have stayed in on our months holiday in Italy. These rooms are set amongst a natural forested area on a large property. As you walk onto the property you will be drawn to the stunning view of the coastline as the property is set high up. The owners truly love and care for everything here. The rooms are beautiful. Tastefully decorated, large and roomy with a big, hot shower. There are separate sitting areas outside and a separate breakfast room where you can make coffee or tea or just sit if you want. The owners and staff speak English which is a bonus for us. We were welcomed by Thomasino, one of the owners as we arrived.....even though we apologised for arriving earlier than expected. Thomasino recommended a top restaurant (without top prices) which was just around the corner. Congratulations!!

My daughter and l stayed at the Lion hotel, 2 days before we flew back to London. It is a family run hotel and the hospitality was absolutely tremendous. The owner Mario, his 2 children and staff went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful one . All were so friendly and attentive to our every need. The hotel is in a beautiful location, close to the airport, shopping mall, lovely scenic countryside and the sea directly opposite the hotel. We are at the hotels restaurant and the food was delicious, the included breakfast offers a wide variety. We swam in the pool which a good size and well maintained. One of the members of the staff Estella, was so accommodating and kind. I was given a lift to the airport by the owners son( excuse me l forgot your name ). We had the most heartfelt conversation regarding the quality of life in Calabria, we were both in agreement how we the simple things in life make you the happiest. He had the most wonderful outlook on life , that we had in common indeed. I hope you and Vicky had a well earned holiday in Stromboli . I would love to bring my two oldest children next year to stay and meet you guys.. I hope you would have us again. God bless you and l wish you all at Lion’s hotel all success 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

This hotel is right on the beach front with just a short walk to restaurants and supermarkets, a really great location! The room was big and clean with all the facilities we wanted, including hair dryer and shampoo, etc. We were very impressed to have 2 balconies, and the view from both was stunning! Breakfast was truly excellent, with eggs, ham, fresh fruit and bakery items each morning - plenty of food and all delicious. What really made the hotel great was how wonderful the staff were- they really couldn't have been nicer and helped us out with everything we asked. Every single staff member was lovely. We would absolutely stay here again!

We arrived in Falerna 2 hours prior to the check in time and we could not find a restaurant which was open so that we can have lunch. Luckily, as soon as we arrived to Calabrialcubo, Marco cooked us a delicious lunch, and treated me and my girlfriend really well. We had the suite over looking amazing views. I will definitely return during summer or hotter seasons. I recommend this place to anyone driving through this area and want to stop to rest a bit before continuing on their journey.
