The host was very friendly and explained everything about the room and the property clearly. The room was really spacious, with plenty of storage, a small fridge for water, its own AC, big beds, and a smart TV. The bathroom was also large and had free toiletries. There’s a big pool and lots of outdoor space to enjoy when the weather is nice. In the shared area, each room has its own space in the fridge, which is handy if you want to store your own food or drinks.

It was a long trip for us! But only place that we stay longer than we expected to be - is Rome and apartment - Nonna Cocchina House Rome close to Vatican City! The interior design of the apartment is extremely beautiful and our stay was more than pleasant. There is a coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine and a complete kitchen at your disposal (as well as lots of books and children's toys, if you are traveling with small children). When staying in spring or summer, drinking coffee on the balcony is a pleasure. For all those that come to Rome by car the benefit is that apartment is close to the main highway, it has secluded parking that is not on the street (within the fenced perimeter of the apartment building). It is great for family with kids! Less than 20 minutes’ walk to the metro station (Cornelia) and from there the Rome is on your disposal! If you do not want to walk - bus connection to the center is almost in front of the driveway and busses are frequent even during the weekends (we did not use it even with 3 small kids - we walked). When you walk to or from the metro station you have possibility of shopping for anything that you will need for your stay. And best of all - home design is great - apartment that you don't want to leave (even when you have the Rome close to you)!

The host was amazing and really keen to help, prompt replies to messages and advice about local supermarkets and restaurants. The building isn't in the best of condition, nothing bad, just old and needs a lick of paint. The lift will frustrate you, I've never seen anything so slow. The apartment was clean and tidy, but just to be clear, it is just a room with a kitchen unit. The double bed doesn't fold away so space is limited. There is a TV but we couldn't get any channels so had to use YouTube to get any service. However, the host left beer and wine (obviously not for free) which was a nice touch and at the end of the day, we had a great time once we sorted sleeping and sitting arrangements. Location is at the end of A line of the tube. It probably took a 30 minute trip to get to the centre of Rome, including the walk from the apartment. Its further than I would have liked but not really a problem, and the A line cuts through most of the major attractions. Overall, we had a really good stay. It was clean, host fantastic and nothing thats not really a complaint, just an observation. I would like to add (& this was a big disappointment for my daughter, that the swimming pool doesn't open until the first of June, its not mentioned when you book, but if you have kiddies or if that's a booking deal maker, then one to think about). Would I stay again - yes.
