The apartment was clean and modern. It was very comfortable for our family of 5. The owner was so gracious. He stopped by each day to see if we needed anything. The chickens on the property provided fresh eggs and we got fresh figs from their fig trees. Parking for our two cars was in their gated driveway and very convenient.

An amazing structure from the medieval era set among picturesque rolling hills. Ideal for those who are looking to spend a few nights in a time capsule with the added comfort of modern amenities. Upon arrival the reception staff was very helpful and available. Breakfast was offered by the property caretakers, a couple who were genuinely sweet, generous and pleasant to discuss with. Upon our preparation to depart on an early morning after having breakfast, we were given croissants for the road - pure good hearted and mindful hosting. Thank you:) There are also wineries, and top restaurants less than a 10 minute drive. Without a doubt, if ever in the area again, we will be staying at Castello Valenzino.

The breakfast was very good, with an excellent choice of items and good coffee. Even better was the restaurant, where we ate three dinners and, with an Italian friend, one lunch. All were excellent, both the cuisine and as a value for the money. Our server was very attentive and suggested several excellent local wines, all very fairly priced and each beautifully appropriate to the meal at hand.

The accommodation is situated on the top of a mountain with breathtaking views. It’s calm and quiet and the perfect location to center yourself again after a lot of hectic daily life. The apartment was big, clean and modern! There’s a pool with sufficient sun beds and each apartment has their own table outside for late night dinners with amazing sunsets.

Location, facilities, room - everything was fantastic from the moment we arrived. But what really makes this place truly outstanding, in our view, are two things: food and the service! The food exceeded all our expectations, it was better than some Michelin-starred restaurants we visited around the world. Fresh, made-to-order, immaculate. Clearly made with love and passion. The service was so attentive, attuned to your every need and made you feel truly welcomed and at home - many luxury hotels could learn from this place. We left wanting to stay more, what a hidden gem in a scenic location in Umbria.
