Lovely, spacious room and a beautiful property!

Beautiful area, the view from the balcony of our apartment was beautiful! Giuseppe and Diana were nice, kind and always there to answer questions or give you some tips regarding eating or visits. Ow and Isa, the daughter! Wat a joy! The pool was really nice and since there are not many apartments there is always room and an bed available . We also had diner at Abadia Farneti, pasta with truffel . The truffel was found with a dog on the complex!! Really recommend it was delicious with that fresh truffel ! Gubbio is a great city! Very nice to visit and it has lots of nice restaurants (you must go and eat Pizza at Mauro!). One night Giuseppe turned down the light on the complex so we could view an amazing starfield! Really nice!!

The hotel was full of character and set in a beautiful location. The facilities were excellent for a small boutique hotel. The breakfasts were amazing and dinner options were first class. The swimming pool was great and offered plenty of space to relax and chill. The staff were wonderful and made us very welcome.

Stables - I had no idea what to expect as this was a last minute booking based on price rather than what was available. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted with a warm welcome and shown to a simple but immaculately clean room and shared facilities. Wifi worked well throughout my stay. There's a really nice atmosphere here, I would definitely return.

Everything . Walking the Via Francesca so access to washing machine was brilliant.

The place is beautiful and so are the rooms; equipped, serene with a wonderful view of the surrounding hills. The owners were really welcoming and accommodating, but also discreet. We only stayed for a night, but we would love to come back!

Without exaggerating, Aga and Jim were THE BEST hosts I have ever met. They were present and invisible at the same time. Present and helpful, whenever you'd need them, invisible, whenever you'd need some relax and quiet time. The room, was actually a tiny apartment that had everything we needed. 2 big comfy beds, windows with lovely view on the mountains and pool area. A little, but very well equipped kitchen with a seating area for 3 people, spacious bathroom with toiletries and all sizes of soft towels. The room and the staircase hall are full of books in various languages and on various topics and also there are many board/card games you can use in case of bad weather, or when you're just bored. The pool area is well equipped with tables, chairs, loungers. The pool is really huge and offers lovely views on the house and the area all around. The food is something that needs an extra paragraph. We originally booked a room+breakfast, but when I learned that with a little extra you can agree on having dinners, I asked and Aga and Jim were so lovely to provide dinners for 3 out of 4 evenings, despite all their duties, meetings outside the area, etc. On the first evening we were offered a delicious pasta and a selection of Polish vegetable salads with fresh vegetable from their garden, the second evening we had a delicious frittata and roasted potatoes and beans and the third evening roasted potatoes, sausages with onions and caramelised carrots. All accompanied with fresh water with lime or mint and fresh bread. In the mornings we were welcomed with fresh eggs, tomatoes, fresh home made biscuits, or banana bread (I absolutely want the recipe :D) and yoghurt with seeds and dry fruit, again accompanied with water and coffee of your choice.

Casa Biron is in a lovely, quiet location, about 3km from Pietralunga. Everything is very clean and done to a top standard. The facilities are excellent. Bianca was very kind and welcoming. She even offered me a meal after a long walk.

We had a truly wonderful 5-night stay at Lo Smarrino Agriturismo, just outside the beautiful town of Gubbio in Umbria. We stayed as two couples and absolutely loved this peaceful, secluded farmhouse, accessible by a single dirt road — a very special place that feels like a hidden gem. The hosts, Silvia and her husband Enrico, speak excellent English, which made communication easy and enjoyable. They are warm, open, and have a fantastic sense of humor — it was a real pleasure to chat and joke with them, and we learned a lot about their life in Umbria and how they came to this beautiful place. The house and grounds are immaculate — everything is beautifully maintained, with great attention to detail in every stone and blade of grass. The rooms are spotless, the bathrooms are modern and well-equipped, and the breakfast each morning was delicious and varied. The location is ideal: quiet and private, yet just a short drive to Gubbio and close to main roads for exploring the region. On the farm, you’ll find two friendly horses, two dogs, and a cat — all lovely and well-behaved. Above all, the warmth, hospitality, and good humor of the hosts made our stay unforgettable. This place truly deserves a 10/10 rating.

Loved the little house! Perfect for our forays into Umbria. All within an hour or so. We loved Gubbio too - such a beautiful historic town and fewer tourists here.

Wonderfull place to stay and enjoy your holiday. Friendly and kind owners who will make you feel at home from day 1. Typical Italian breakfast with great coffee and very kind and helpful staff! We stayed in ‘Lilla’, a comfortable and big appt for 2 people. The swimming pool was wonderful and very refreshing after a hot day. The beautiful town ‘Gubbio’ is only a 10min drive away and perfect for finding a cute and delicious restaurant. You will need a car to explore the wonderful and stunning region of Umbria. We highly recommend Assisi :)
