We were enchanted by this property - the restoration and respect for heritage is exceptional. It is very beautiful - high quality contemporary furnishings that blend so well with the heritage property so you had history and comfort and excellent facilities all at the same time. It really is worth going to the town if only to stay at this fabulous home. The owner and housekeeper were so gracious and the whole place is very well kept. LOVED IT

United StatesGreat location, walkable to town and right next to the ruins/pyramid. Wifi was decent compared to other places we stayed at ! Staff was very friendly, rooms were very spacious and clean. Looks like they are doing some renovations too, so they clearly upkeep the place!

Rooms are in a beautiful setting, surrounded by a lovely tropical garden. We were a family of 4 in one large, comfortable and nicely decorated room. We enjoyed the original swimming pool and the good breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is about a 15-minute walk from centre of Izamal which was also lovely. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The hotel is in a perfect location right on the main square in Izamal. It was a little hard to find, but once inside, it's a magnificent old colonial style building with a small number of huge bedrooms with decorations which are totally in keeping with the building. There is a decent sized swimming pool, and a huge roof terrace with tables and chairs with great views of the square and convent.

After spending time in cities, it was terrific to be in an hacienda that was calm, peaceful and beautiful. Our meals were excellent, good size swimming pool and rooms were large. The staff was warm, friendly and helpful. We were only a short ride to the lovely town of izamal.

Really helpful staff. Alexandro in particular went above and beyond with his excellent advice on everything from Izamal to Mérida, to life in Mexico. We enjoyed all of our chats with him and he made us feel very welcome.
