Offering a restaurant and a seasonal outdoor pool, Hotel Lacotel is located outside of Avenches, 300 metres from the Lake of Morat and a 7-minute drive from the Amphitheatre. My son (3,5) and I had a wonderful stay. This hotel has everything one needs when travelling with a child: good restaurant, safe environment, fun pool, nice playground, grocery store, friendly personnel and a beautiful sandy beach just next door. We will be back!

The view is amazing and so so quiet. The hist was very friendly and we had an excellent time. It's very easy to go around the lake and see more places.

The historic Grand Hôtel Des Bains is a prestigious architectural complex located in a magnificent tree-lined park. Got a special deal through booking.com during their renovations of the spa. Had a very good time. Two pools fully open and were wonderfully quiet (in summer can be full of screaming kids). Temporary sauna really nice. Breakfast excellent- the local butters, jams, cheeses and charcuterie were outstanding.
