It is a converted barn building. It has a small washer and dryer we were able to use. Incredible value. Breakfast was the typical German breakfast but she included some pastry. She managed with our limited German.

Set directly on the grounds of a golf course, the hotel in Blankenhain offers a large spa with pools and free yoga and aerobic classes. A spacious restaurant with a large sun terrace also features. Pool, gym and spa were excellent, the view from the room was very nice and the room very cosy and warm,

The Land-Hotel Am Wald is a family-run hotel surrounded by woods and nature, located in the immediate vicinity of the peaceful Thuringian town of Greiz. Lovely quiet hotel overlooking the forest, everything we needed and an easy to access location and plenty of parking.

The historic and traditional 4-star BERG & SPA HOTEL GABELBACH is surrounded by a 7-hectare park in the middle of the Thuringian Forest. Beautiful, isolated location. Very close to mountain hiking. Comfortable rooms and nice decor inside and out. Lovely green with lounge chairs. Almost all guests were Germans. Very good breakfast and nice restaurant for dinner. I didn’t get to the spa. The sauna opens in the afternoon.
