A landmark hotel in Scotland’s biggest, most vibrant city, Glasgow’s Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel and Spa combines the elegance of a stately 19th-century Georgian townhouse with the luxe modern... We had a wonderful two nights at this property as we toured Glasgow before heading to the Great Glen Way. There seemed to be others staying here using it as a base for exploring the highlands from what we could see. What made it special? First re the rooms: the interior feels plush, fresh and new. We are two friends and had a very comfortable twin room which was incredibly spacious with well appointment bathroom. There was very good temperature control in the room (very important!). Nice products as well for both coffee and in the bathroom. Second re the breakfast included in the bed and breakfast rate: excellent buffet plus fresh menu and served in their very lovely dining room Third re the general warmness: very helpful staff, lovely happy hour with complimentary wine where you can mingle in the lobby
