Offering a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the sea, SETOUCHI RETREAT by Onko Chishin Adults only is situated in Matsuyama in the Ehime Region, 11 km from Matsuyama. A stunning property with incredible hospitality - warm, genuine, and highly professional. As is generally the case with smaller Japanese properties outside of the big cities, we did not have to contend with any language barriers. Brett Cox, a member of the staff, is a native English speaker. He made our stay exceptional. Kudos also to the chef for accommodating vegetarians, not an easy feat in Japan. Omotenashi has been perfected by the Setouchi Retreat. Well done.

Boasting an indoor swimming pool and a large public bath, Imabari Kokusai Hotel is located a 10-minute walk from JR Imabari Station. This was one of the most enjoyable stays of our trip. First of all, the staff were absolutely amazing, so kind and friendly, really made out stay! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and then onsen amazing, so relaxing.

Especially, the private hotspring was quite comfortable and it was nice that they have several different options for it. Also, they have wide range of yukata which we can choose without paying any extra fee.
