It is a wonderfully eclectic oasis of Namibian, charm and history. With the old car theme and imaginative decor, the ambience is unique. The staff were lovely from the restaurant, reception and bar to the extremely helpful Christian, who seemed to be everywhere and made sure we had a mechanic to fix a technical issue with our car. The food we had for lunch and dinner was also lovely. I highly recommend staying here, but make sure you book early!

Located just 5 km from the Vioolsdrift Border Control to Namibia, Frontier River Resort offers a unique escape overlooking the Orange River in South Africa. Its a very cosy and well organised resort on the border with Namibia , with super views, superb food and very nice owners. Its like staying on their porch! I wish we could have stated more nights!

With far-reaching views over Fish River Canyon just below, the private chalets at this property have rooftop windows. Each has an outdoor shower, and an outdoor pool is available. Very spacious and clean, lovely view, very friendly staff and amazing and knowledgeable guides.
