The resort offers a wide range of activities for both kids and adults, set in a beautiful area surrounded by nature. Breakfast includes plenty of options, and the staff are very friendly and supportive.
I would recommend this resort for families with children, but not for couples or older guests, as it can be quite crowded and noisy due to the large number of kids.

We arrived late - after the kitchen closed - but the staff called us ahead of time and had a huge platter of meats and cheese ready for us when we got there. The two bedroom suite was perfect for five people and the kids loved the pool and the breakfast. Easy to get to from the highway and nestled in the mountains.

Very nice waitresses and delicious food. There is a buffet which fulfills all our needs. The staff is very friendly and even gave us a free bus ticket to go back home. Can only recommend!

Great town if you enjoy hiking or skiing.
Great town if you enjoy hiking or skiing. Also excellent food. If you don’t enjoy the outdoors it’s still great to stay one night to see the town. It’s a fairy tale!
Make sure to eat at Nepomuk and Zur Traube. Get a sandwich from L’angolo and ice cream from Ghiottone. Breakfast at Hausler is a must! If you have a car you can also go to Vis a vis by Pardeller - don’t let the gas station atmosphere fool you!

Beautiful location in a charming Austrian alpine town. When I was looking for accommodation, I couldn't find any photographs of the place — only a watercolour painting. So I was a little worried about what reality would look like. I was staying for one night only, so I decided to risk it. In the end: a lovely house, lovely surroundings, and Steinach itself. A helpful host, patient with my "language skills". And an excellent breakfast before a long day on the motorbike.

Perfect loication for experiencing the Tyrol.
Perfect loication for experiencing the Tyrol. Easy to get the (free for visitors) train or bus up and down the valleya nd side valleys. There is a Spar supermarket - we also used shops in Brenner and Steinach when passing through them at the end of walks to get the train back to Greis.
The Obernberger See (easy bus ride from Greis) is beautiful and the perfect start or end point for numerous high- and low-level walks. The hike to Sattelbergalm restaurant then on up to the peak of Sattelberg is great. Two rail stops down the valley to Steinach provides cable car access to the peaks.

The staff were absolutely lovely and looked after all our needs. The facilities are excellent and the views from the balcony were spectacular. The lift is comfortable and large for a pension this size. The parking once you get there is easy, free and safe even for motorcycles. The dinner and breakfast were home made and the kind lady went round all the guests asking if they would like seconds. I cannot but recommend this pension any further. I have to appologise to the owners and any readers that I made a mistake reviewing this pension with another one in Croatia, a thousand appologies.

Vipiteno doesn’t look much until you park your car and wlak...
Vipiteno doesn’t look much until you park your car and wlak 2 minutes into the old town centre. Then its a joy to wander around, Vaulted arcades show off fine shops with lovely good at excellent prices, clothing, pottery, painting.
We ate at Hotle Golden Kreuse where their pasta was cooked fresh and was delicious.
The main road is a pedestrian precint leading to a tower and large square which was animated for the 21st June Musical festival. Shops continue then in old building several 100 years old for a lot of them making it a quaint quiet place to stroll.
Its definitely worth the stopover and easy motorway access takes you to Bolzano and Brixen for Dolomite park access

Good base for walking, photography or winter sports. Nice little two , handy and reasonable places to eat but remember many are cash only. Good centre for rail and bus connections. Quite town and very friendly. Excellent train service the Innsbruck ever half hour

We were surprised with very amazing historical old town with small, beautifull shops and friendly salespersons :)
After a hard work day, we found great relaxation in the well-equipped spa - Balneum.
We also enjoeyed a typical delicious Italian pizza at the Tie break pizzeria :)

Steinach am Brenner is a nice place to stay in.
Steinach am Brenner is a nice place to stay in. Close to Italy and Innsbruck in Astria. Peaceful and quiet. The only thing I didn't like is the road taxes that I had to pay whenever I enter the highway and return from highway and entring Steinach am Brenner although I have bought the 10-days road tax sticker. If you want not to pay that, you have to drive in non-toll roads. This means that you might drive in narrow roads and the trip taks longer.
