"Innsbruck is beautiful and a compact town therefore it is very easy to explore. The funicular railway and cable car are a must our children loved it even on a cloudy day! There is plenty to do and see here and would recommend a longer stay than 2 days as we had done. Be careful in the train station as I was pickpocketed getting on the train, luckily he took a purse with not much in it other than cards that needed to be cancelled but thankfully no passport or euros in there!"

"We had a car from Salzburg, and it took about 80 minutes to drive to Kitzbühel. We went there for skiing and we were not disappointed. The ski lift is about a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel. The town itself is lovely, old buildings coupled with modern shopping. There's plenty of choices for restaurants and bars. We mainly ate at our restaurant, but there are other places to eat. It's a nice place to walk around, although some of the roads do not have footpaths. We would definitely come here again."

Mayrhofen has long been a favourite for activity holidays, since our son was a three year old. Stunningly beautiful valley and side valleys. Safe off-road cycling on the cycle paths down the valley, stopping off an the open air lidos on the way. Lots of water based adventure activities. Vast walking possibilities in the main valley and side valleys, with an excellent bus service and plenty of lifts. For serious walkers, there are four 2000m climbs you can do directly from Mayrhofen. The taller mountains around the glacier at the head of the valley, offer scope to those with some mountaineering skills.

Solden is a good place to stay, with easy access to many glaciers, many of them covered with snow. From BIG 3 of Schwarze Schneide it was a fantastic visibility, up to 140 km, of mountains close to Cortina d'Ampezzo in Italy! The 007 museum provided an unexpected story of the mountain. Vent and Obergurgl offered nice trails with views towards the glaciers around.

A nice place with a great location for skiing.

A nice place with a great location for skiing. Free ski shuttle from hotel a plus. Skis could be rented at the hotel but we found getting them near the gondola was easier since we could store them there. The pool was spectacular! The castle rooms are comfortable and spacious but there is no elevator! This was difficult to navigate with luggage. Also free parking available on property but way down the hill. Breakfast was included and alot of variety. Bar area beautiful. IWe would definitely stay here again even with the few challenges.

The Reutte on Ice was excellent.

The Reutte on Ice was excellent. It's the best ice-skating place we ever have! The Ehrenberg was a surprise to us. Years ago there was still only the highline 179, but now there are so much more to see, especially for children who are fans of Ritter Rüdiger!

There are some interesting hikes you can do in the neigherhood for which there are several elevators to get you on the top of the mountain. We stayed only 1 night but you can stay a few nights more during summer time to discover surrounding nature.

A beautiful historic Town that has the style of Salzburg, without the crowds. Friendly folks who were happy to listen to my attempts at speaking German, and a town that is surrounded by fantastic lakes and mountains.

This is an amazing hotel with wonderful staff, where nothing is too much trouble. Whether you are relaxing in the spa, or just taking in the breathtaking view of the mountains from your room, it is a definitely on my list of top hotels and can’t wait to return!

Good place for sport shoe shopping! That why we stayed. Nice little town. Great base to drive 1h to many places ( Cortina, tre Cime, Lago di braies, San Candido, Heiligenblut, Matrei/ Kals.... flat road to/from Villach
