Salzburg is a really beautiful city with many lovely attractions and parks - a definite must see location. The glorious old town area does however get extremely crowded at times with the many large groups of guided tourists even at the start of the holiday season.
Amazing city. Great surrounds. Loved the pizza at L'osteria which is just next to the hotel. Very easy to get around Salzburg. For such a little town it packs a lot of charm.
Visited Salzburg twice in January/February time and loved the quaintness of it both times. The weather was cold, as expected, but the town was beautiful. Unfortunately some restaurants allow smoking which wasn’t great.
Interesting place to visit. But too many smokers smoking in public places spoiled my stay! On my last day taking a bus to the train station, a lady in front of me while boarding the bus suddenly turn around to blow out her last cigarette smoke onto my face, presumably unhappy about my luggage that might have hider her way?! That was my most memorable but unpleasant impression of Salzburg!
A beautiful small city with lots to see from an urban perspective as well natural beauty. We loved going up the gondola to the top of the mountain (Untersberg) and to Helbrun Schloss. Would definitely recommend the fountain tour - it was lots of fun. Getting around was really easy - we travelled exclusively by public transport ( aside from a taxi from Mirabel Palace when it poured with rain). Bus and train service is superb. We bought a Salzburg card for 2 days and did our own thing for the third and would definitely recommend the card. We had more than our moneys worth after one afternoon! We enjoyed the fortress and the dom quarter and just wandering the streets. The outlook for the modern art gallery at the opposite end of the city is terrific. We attended a concert ( Mozart and Vivaldi) at Mirabel Palace in the marble ballroom which was divine even for non musical sorts like us! On our final night, we took a picnic to the Mirabel gardens and jagged a free concert by the Armed forces band which capped off a great three days.
Salzburg is an absolute gem if you like historical cities and enjoy classical music and culture. The old town may be small but there are so many other places on the town‘s periphery, to visit and explore. Castle Hellbronn and it’s magnificent Park and zoo, being just one example. The public transport system goes to all the places worth visiting. And if you have a car, you can explore the ten or more lakes in the Salzkammergut region.
Salzburg is a beautiful, laid back city with plenty to see and do! Mirabell Gardens are magical in the evenings, with a spectacular view of Hohensalzburg. Hohensalzburg offers amazing views of the city and surrounding area.
Wonderful city with plenty to see and do. Views stunning from fortress and other locations. The Salzburg Card was great value and enabled us to see so much. Went to wonderful concert in marble room at the mirabell
This was an overnight stop en route elsewhere. However we have visited Salzburg before and it is a beautiful city, well worth a visit.
Lovely place - we went with two children 13 & 11 and they loved it too. Probably not much of interest to very young children though. We did Sound of Music 🎶 Tour which was great. Lots of sights around Salzburg for fans of the film 🎥 without doing the tour. Mirabel Gardens are beautiful. Would recommend Salzburg.

We were touring Germany and Austria and wanted to visit Salzburg but were aware parking in Salzburg was difficult and hence this Hotel is in a lovely location but very handy to travel into Salzburg by bus.The bus stop is only 5 mins walk from the property and approx 15 min journey. The hostess spoke english but many of the staff only spoke German however this was not a problem. Most of the guests were either German or Austrian but this gave us a real feel of the culture. We very much enjoyed our stay.We also liked the pool area.

The apartment was beautiful, well equipped and clean. Situated in quiet environment, with a spectacular view of the mountains. Downstairs lives lovely grandma with whom you can have a nice talk, of course if you know German. Very beautiful, small, typical Austrian city in the Alps! Close enough to other sightseeing locations (Salzburg, Hallstatt, Dachstein mountains,...) of course if you have your own vehicle (car, motorcycle or even bicycle). Overall, very nice stay and beautiful holiday!

I booked this hotel as an out of the way stop over on our road trip through Austria and Switzerland and was surprised at how wonderful this hotel was. I booked it expecting to hang out and relax and then discovered the spa. The spa was great with different steam rooms, a hot tub and heated tile loungers that were awesome. I have stayed in the Salzburg area a few times before and was always disappointed but this place was truly amazing. My husband and I wished we could have stayed longer.

This small apartment hotel is a gem. It is ideally situated in the old city and is an oasis in a very busy precinct. The room is excellent - beautifully renovated, charming and comfortable with a superb bathroom. It was great to return to the room at the end of a busy day to relax before going out for dinner. We really enjoyed meeting the owner Manfred who proudly told us the history of the hotel and looked after our every need. We will certainly stay again if we return to Salzburg.

The hotel has generous proportions for a fairly small hotel, the room was are an excellent roomy suite with plenty of easy seating, writing desk, fridge, balcony (not overlooked) and all very well appointed in traditional Austrian style woodwork, yet airy and up to date. It is only 4 kms (15 mins) from the airport and about 6 from Salzburg, close to the river in the quiet area of Wals with woodland and river path walks etc. There was no noise whatever of aircraft either.

Breakfast was simple, but only 7,90 and kids half price. The staff did a great job filling up the buffet. Was in a 6 bed room, two bunk beds and a double bed. Toilet and sink on one room, shower and sink in another which is practical. Nice big room. The hotel is in a shopping center, Modepark Reuther, Deichman, DM and a Supermarket all there. A 10 minute bus ride into town. Buy the Salzburg Karte then transportation is included. Not any sights within walking distance.

Very friendly, family run, hotel. Lovely spacious room with balcony looking out to the mountains. Fantastic spa area & exceptional breakfast. Great sleep due to very comfortable mattress, bedding, & pillow. Proximity to the airport (under 5 minutes by taxi) & excellent bus links to Salzburg. Looking out from your balcony, you would think that you were in the middle of the Austrian countryside, not close to an airport. Love this hotel!

The location is secluded and far from Salzburg, but very romantic and quiet. It is an historic building and some scenes of the movie Sissi were filmed here. The views outside are charming. We paid for a simple room with lake view (but not to the best direction) - 520 US$. Other rooms - are much more expensive. Comparing to some similar class hotels and schlosses that we stayed in during this tour in Austria - this was the most expensive.

This apartment was perfect for our visit to Salzburg. The owner reserved a parking space next to the building, 15 Euro per night. The check-in and room access was exactly as described by the owner, very clear and easy to understand, After settling into the room we walked to the main area of Salzburg's sights, about 10-15 minutes. In the morning I walked 5 minutes to the market for pastries.

Excellent attitude of the owners - helpful, accommodating, compliant. Modern bicycles for free rent (unlocked storage room - impossible in the Czech Rep.). Nice friendly people all around. Clean village and wonderful nature. New, clean and very well-equipped apartment. Free entrance to "spa" in Wagrein (with Salzburger "Sportwelt" Card given by the hotel for free).

Fantastic family run hotel where attention to detail and the offering of a true Austrian experience are key. Despite being distant from downtown Salzburg the hotel is located in a peaceful place by the mountains, with plenty of space to ride bicycles and enjoy the stunning landscape. Great food, extremely nice staff, brand new spa and pool. Brilliant value for money.

The hotel is situated on a highway rest station (near Wals). Hotel, restaurant, 24h coffee shop, gas station and a McDonald's all in the same building. The breakfast was great. Clean and quiet rooms, no noise from the highway. Amazing views in fair weather. Travelling through Salzburg (Austria - Germany highway) in need of rest, this is the place to stay.

We got a nice big room with comfy beds in a nice residential area of Salzburg. The building is quite new and well maintained. There was a free parking. The location is ok, a bit outside the city center but not too far. The area around the hotel is nice and quiet with lots of bakeries and restaurants nearby. All in all a nice cheap stay.

All were perfect. Great location, great view very clean and tidy apartments. Flexible check in even at night. Very kind landlords. Good place to keep bikes. I would recommend for bike lovers and ski/snowboarders. Saalbach area one of the best in Salzburg region. Close to zell am see and kitzsteinhorn glacier.

The views are amazing. A little way out of Salzburg (10kms) but if you have a car, no problem. The views are worth any inconvenience. Staff are very accommodating, food good, lovely homely atmosphere. Great walking tracks from the hotel front door and you are surrounded with fantastic Austrian vistas.

Great host who always tries to respond to any request made. Super easy check-in. Clean apartment, equiped with all utilities you need and very close to the city center of Salzburg. Additional mark: I simply loved attention to the details. :)

The stuff is kind, pleasant and willing. They are caring! It's a cosy, warm, welcoming, traditional style Austrian hotel in the old centre of Salzburg, with stuff in dirndl! I loved it!
