This is amazing place and we loved everything! We arrived late, but key box was arranged for us and we could enter our room really quickly. Breakfast was very generous with hot choices available tailored to your own choice. Family room was very comfortable, stylish and well arranged. We loved sanarium and sauna and possibility to go straight to the snow. Definitely will be back and highly recommend!

This was our second stay, and we will definitely be coming back again. The hotel is brand new, beautifully and tastefully designed with great attention to detail throughout. The breakfasts are excellent, offering both a rich buffet and à la carte options, which seem to have expanded since our last visit. The rooms are comfortable, and the wellness area is lovely, featuring two saunas and an outdoor heated pool. Having private parking directly at the hotel is also a great advantage. The staff truly stand out — they are exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always willing to help, with a very positive attitude. We also appreciated their good level of English, which made communication easy.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this mountain hotel! Located in a stunning natural setting, the place offers a spectacular view of the alpine landscape – the kind of scenery that takes your breath away every morning. The room was a true oasis of relaxation. The fireplace adds a warm, cozy atmosphere, perfect for chilly evenings, and the in-room bathtub is pure indulgence – ideal after a day spent outdoors. The services were impeccable from start to finish. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help without being intrusive. I truly felt welcomed and well taken care of. The food was excellent – fresh ingredients, delicious dishes, and generous portions. Every meal felt like a culinary experience of its own. Wonderful facilities, particularly the swimming pools and sauna area, separate adults-only sauna area. Delicious and extensive breakfast buffet, high quality 4-course evening meal for only €20 extra, fantastic value, particularly the gala dinner. Location very close to lifts and ski shops - we used the ski depot at the lift station which was very conveniently located (next to the excellent Rambazambar) Friendly and efficient staff in restaurant and at reception, immaculately clean rooms and public areas. Non-skiers in the group enjoyed the daily (free) activities, including yoga and hikes. Skiers enjoyed the local Grossarl-Dorfgastein ski area, and easy 15 minute bus links to Alpendorf and Bad Hofgastein

The hotel was exceptional! The rooms may be basic, but they are equipped with everything you need, clean, and very well-maintained. The staff was always friendly and ready to assist with anything. The spa was an amazing experience – of very high quality, spacious, clean, and relaxing. It was clear that the hotel paid attention to every small detail to ensure a perfect experience. It's worth noting that the spa is nude-only, which might be unfamiliar to some, but once you get over the initial hesitation, it’s an unforgettable experience. The breakfast was delicious and varied, and the staff was courteous and welcoming. An excellent experience all around – we’ll definitely be back!

Amazing ski resort - the slopes are of incredibly high...

Amazing ski resort - the slopes are of incredibly high quality, lifts are modern and maintained to an excellent degree, and there is a huge choice of slopes - the ski pass includes five different areas, and you can even drive to Flachau and ski there as well. There is a bus that you can take to all the different locations in case you don't want to drive, and some of the ski areas are also connected by lifts. Unfortunately we went in early March, when the temperatures were really high - I saw 14 degrees on one slope! This didn't make for a great skiing experience in the afternoon as the snow was melting into a slush, so I'd recommend anyone going in early March to get half day passes and ski in the morning until lunchtime, then relax in the sauna or one of the many apres-ski bars.

A village in beautiful scenery that lacks something. Accessibility of services (hiking, lifts, restaurants) was a bit confusing. Many services did not have clear English instructions/price lists/online shops. The Tyrolean region summer card seemed to give you a much wider range of services than the Salzburger region.

The slopes/pists were guite challanging and lifts closed already 15:30 even down the mountain (week 4) Restaurants in the village that were available were expensive and not impressive quality. Restaurants on the mountain on the other hand had much better prices, service and surprisingly good quality. Recommend visiting: Bergstadl Bad Gastein, MEX Dinner Club, Hirsch & Maus, Silver Bullet Bar.

Great base city for traveling around Salzburg region.

Great base city for traveling around Salzburg region. We have small kids and it was perfect for our kind of trip. There are various pharmacies and supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing stores, even a little market on the weekends, and just great facilities all around (including a playground for kids).

While there isn’t a huge amount of activity or major attractions directly inside the town itself, Wagrain is an absolutely gorgeous and peaceful place to stay. It offers a wonderfully quiet alpine atmosphere that is perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Its biggest advantage is its location: it is quite close to many of the region's major attractions, making it an ideal, hassle-free base for day trips and exploring the surrounding area. If you are looking for a beautiful, serene spot to return to each evening, Wagrain is highly recommended!

One of the most beautiful places on this planet.

One of the most beautiful places on this planet. Easy to get around with the Ramsau am Dachstein Summercard and the bus and gondola systems. Loved the gondola to the top and the Sky walk, the Stairway to Heaven and the Stairway to Nothingness. Also liked Rittisberg and its attractions such as the Flyline, toboggan and High Ropes. The Go Karting down 7 kms of the Planai mountain was also fun

Nice small town nestled beneath the Alpine peaks, offering a relaxing atmosphere. It features modern cable cars and well-maintained ski slopes. Thermal baths are also available, making it an ideal destination for both active sports and subsequent relaxation and rest.

Great to get a summer pass that included free bus travel to...

Great to get a summer pass that included free bus travel to various local hikes/cable cars and the lifts were free also with the pass, like the bus service. It was great not to use our car. The twon is cute and clean. A little small.

Filzmoos is one of the most beautiful villages in Austria.

Filzmoos is one of the most beautiful villages in Austria. The mountains around are exceptional, summer hiking is real joy there. The village has everything- lot of fancy hotels, restaurants, summer terraces, swimming pool.

Very good for ski holidays being close to many ski slopes.

Very good for ski holidays being close to many ski slopes. Plenty of good restaurants with quite high ratings on Maps. Reservation to the restaurant for dinner is highly recommended. Also plenty of supermarkets, especially in the central area. Somehow looked empty during the evening, although most of the restaurants were full.
