Great hosts and a great place! For some reason I messed up with the booking specifying two persons instead of four but we were immediately provided with another appartment that accomodated all of us which was a life saver. The scenery is beautiful, the appartment is brand new and fully equipped, the cusine is delicious. There is also a nice playground our kids were absolutely happy about. Overall the great place to stay, hope to return back in the following year)

This boutique property was perfect for a ski trip. Close proximity to everything train station, lifts, and town centre. The owners and staff were delightful and nothing was a problem. Would highly recommend and would definitely return. Good value for St Anton. Our triple room (for parent and two sons aged 19 and 22) was super clean, with a large twin room and separate double room off it. Bathroom was brand new and everything spotless. Beds were comfy and shower powerful. Very nice breakfast included. Staff and hotel owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Location was excellent - just off main street and about 7 minutes walk from Rendl, Gampfen and Galzig ski lifts. The hotel has a ski pass machine so we got passes within minutes and also a discount with local ski rental/storage near the lifts, although there is a ski storage room at the hotel with decent boot dryers. It was ideal for a very easy ski break.

Every time we return to stay at the Hotel Der Waldhof, the pleasure is perfect, full of experiences and exciting. The hotel owners Andrea and Michael, who also serves as the hotel chef, are ultimate hosts. They are generous, helpful, cheerful and perfect by any measure. The hotel rooms and public areas are incredibly clean and magically designed, the work of Andrea. The breakfast as well as the dinner are handmade by the talented chef Michael. The meals are incredibly tasty and varied, always surprising and delightful. A unique experience every time, which is a fascinating culinary journey at the highest level that should not be missed. The hotel staff, apart from the owner, is very helpful, courteous, smiling and above all incredibly professional. The location of the hotel is in a wonderful and magical area of Sint Anton, known and famous for a great variety of attractions, hiking trails and of course special ski resorts operating in the winter season. Also, it is close and within reasonable driving distance to famous sites and travel destinations. It is important to note that the hotel also has excellent parking at no additional cost If it were up to us, we would give Hotel Der Waldhof the 5 stars it deserves. Without a doubt, we will return and stay at the Der Waldhof hotel, which is excellent in all respects.

Great variety of food served with our stay everyday (we loved the salad bar that comes with dinner in particular). We really enjoyed using the wellness centre (which has a pool, sauna and steam room) after a day of hard skiing. The driver Goran was very friendly and helped us to and from the train station, as well as to and from the gondolas everyday. The reception was always ready to help with anything and very understanding when we had to change our group size prior to arriving, despite issues we faced due to Booking.com customer service. Would be happy to stay again!

A very warm and comfortable hotel with a beautiful interior, sauna, swimming pools, everything was on the point and clean. Wonderful and friendly staff! The hotel is only about 10 minutes away from the ski resort and the very good thing is that the hotel offers regular transportation in both directions to the ski resort. Practical for renting equipment in the nearby Intersport with an additional discount with the hotel. I would come back to this hotel again. :)

This hotel really is exceptional. Located just outside the centre, lovely and quiet, but easy to hop on the bus, couple of stops to the ski lift. A wonderful warm and attentive welcome; highly professional and efficient staff; room comfortable and immaculately clean; spacious and modern wellness area; and to top it all absolutely first-rate gourmet cuisine, including imaginative vegetarian food.

Best location I think in Sankt Anton. Staff was great (Sandra and the "schnapps guy"). The facilities are great. The pool, the jacuzzi, the steam- and Finnish sauna. (Real Finn proof, with water on the stove and no textile zone 👌) Good breakfast, and thebrooms are very nice. 100 meter walk to the first lifts taking you into the mountains. We had a great time.

We were lucky enough to get an apartment on the top floor so our view over Pettneu was beautiful. The apartment was warm and extremely spacious and included a full kitchen. Breakfast was provided and was a great start to our day. The bus stop (free bus service) to St Anton was only a couple of minutes walk. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

St. Anton is an absolute joy to visit—one of those places where the combination of scenery, skiing, and genuinely friendly people makes the whole trip feel special. The local businesses are incredibly welcoming, whether you’re hiring or storing your gear, grabbing a morning pastry in Kathi's Bakwerk, browsing the shops, or settling in for dinner after a day on the mountain. The ski facilities are excellent, with a wide variety of runs and lifts to suit every level. And when the skiing stops, the après‑ski scene really shines: you’ll find everything from the loud, upbeat, and boisterous party spots St. Anton is famous for, to more relaxed wine bars that are perfect for a quieter evening. Getting around couldn’t be easier—the ski bus services run regularly throughout the town and into neighbouring areas, making it simple to go from your accommodation to the lifts or into the centre without any hassle. The local cuisine is another highlight, with hearty Austrian dishes and great regional specialties everywhere you turn. One small but important tip for travelers: many restaurants won’t admit guests after 6 pm if they’re still in ski gear, so it’s worth changing before heading out for dinner. St Christoph is well placed to ski St Anton or link up...

St Christoph is well placed to ski St Anton or link up through Stuben and the newer lifts to Zurs and Lech. Probably not the best for nightlife ... but we weren't looking for that! All else is top class and, because it is smaller, there's a touch of exclusivity.

Free ski bus to local resorts was super efficient and easily accessible. A couple of good restaurants within easy walking distance and local shop but can't vouch for this as we didn't use it.

Flirsch is a convenient base for skiing the St Anton area.

Flirsch is a convenient base for skiing the St Anton area. The property is a 3 min walk with skis to the bus stop. A far more reasonably priced option than St Anton. There are no shops in Flirsch so supermarket shopping is either in St Anton or Landeck both serviced by either the ski bus or a local bus. Although there is a smaller supermarket in Pettenau where there is also a ski shop called Miet.com which again has far more reasonable equipment prices. The apartment owner gave us a voucher to leave our skis in the lockers at Intersport close to Terminal West in St Anton which was very convenient. Excellent.

This resort is insanely large.

This resort is insanely large. It's a little daunting to figure out how to get to all of the areas. It took a few days to start getting familiar with the area (85 lifts!). The snow was okay, but nothing great.

I expected something a bit more luxurious; in reality, it is...

I expected something a bit more luxurious; in reality, it is a small village with essentially one quite simple main street, where you can find places to eat, drink, or go out. The destination is really focused on skiing rather than après-ski or nightlife, which is good to know in advance. My biggest challenge was the signage on the slopes. The indicators are designed in a way that requires you to already know by memory which ski lift leads in which direction. I found this quite frustrating, as on several occasions I ended up in very distant parts of the resort and had to return by bus after the lifts had closed. As a fast skier, I would really appreciate clearer and more intuitive directions on the slopes, so that it is not necessary to stop frequently to check names or recall routes. Unfortunately, even the paper and interactive maps did not make navigation much easier.
