Facilities were better than expected, you cannot miss its swimming pool, sauna, morning yoga sessions, and also the location of where it is located right across Traunsee. We also managed to kayak on our last day, it was absolutely breathtaking.

Room was fantastic. Very modern including bathroom. Bed was fab 🥰... so confortable. Even though I missed booked dates for the stay, they're very kind to facility me with a room.
Breakfast was more then I wished for and staff they couldn't be nicer.
Parking for free on the other side of the road.
One think to keep in mind the place it's a bit away from the town. It didn't bother me as I love walking and been out. The trip to the town it's a must and takes approx 15 mind.
To note: I didn't have food with them beside breakfast but the restaurant was buzzing all evening. So definitely sound of food Austrian food 😋

Perfect location, lake view from the room and from the breakfast area. Silent and beatiful room, with lots of pretty details. Friendly staff. Brakfast had also everything ehats needed. Would like to give 6 out of 5 stars!

The friendliness off the staff and willingness to help with a gluten free diet. The hôtel facilities were wonderful, the infinity pool was fabulous, the décor was very artistic and the situation by the lake was perfect.

This area of the Austrian lakes is perfect for off-season hiking.
However, Gmunden lacks specialty coffee places. There are also few interesting pubs and restaurants, and many places close early. Shops were typically open only until 6:00 PM.

The friendly host was waiting for our arrival and assisted us with check-in, and upon entering the accommodation, we were welcomed with chocolates.
Everything was absolutely flawless.
The host resides on the second floor, while the lower level features a private room reserved exclusively for our use.
There is a lush, wooded walking path right in front of the house.

Small town, in which people great each others warmly. Close to Feuerkogel - nice ski area and to larger cities - Bad Ischl and Gmunden, for either relaxion visits or shopping. A warm feeling of visiting your grandparents.

Traunsee is a true balm for the soul and a stunning Alpine lake. If you stay outside the main towns, you can experience the peaceful side of the lake – quiet, incredibly clear water, great mountain views, and relaxing atmosphere. It is the perfect place to slow down, enjoy nature, swim in crystal-clear water and recharge. Highlight of our trip was paddle board on the lake. We recommend to visit Traunkirchen church and the chapel on the top.

A quiet residential village on the more mountainous southern...
A quiet residential village on the more mountainous southern end of the Traunsee, picturesquely embedded in its dramatic surroundings. Wooden boat houses fringe the water's edge like an ancient lake village, and there is a small campsite, bathing beach and beach cafe. Rindbach invites an evening stroll, with enough quaint and traditional cottages and villas along some of its small streets to transport you to another time.
For practical facilities (shops, tourist information, train station), the small town of Ebensee is less than a mile away, and for summer walking and as a base to discover the area, I reckon it's probably a more relaxed option than the more famous nearby tourist spots like Bad Ischl or Wolfgangsee.
Don't miss a trip to the nearby Langbaht lakes for a swim!

Gmunden is in a beautiful setting on the lake and surrounded...
Gmunden is in a beautiful setting on the lake and surrounded by mountains. There are beautiful, old buildings and some interesting independent shops. We enjoyed the Christmas Market which, although small, was full of artisanal products.
The weather was mainly foggy and damp, although we had a little snow on Christmas Eve, so we didn't do all the things we had planned, such as a cable car ride up to Gruenberg, but we enjoyed visiting Stoegmullers, a large fashion department store and La Sonett patisserie and bakery, which has the most sumptuous cakes. (They also have apartments in a very convenient location).
The Schlossort, the castle on the lake is worth a visit - and a few photographs - and has a large car park, which is a bit of a walk from the castle but the route is flat.
We only ate out once, because the cooking facilities and equipment at the apartment were so good, which was at a Greek restaurant called Meteora, at the end of the street where the apartment was located. The food was hearty and extremely tasty and the staff very friendly and obliging. We would certainly go back there.
Getting around Gmunden is easy, due to the frequent buses and their tram line, which runs from the Bahnhof to the Rathausplatz. If you want to use your car, there is a convenient underground parking garage near the lake and good on street parking, although you will need to download a parking app.
Gmunden has something for everyone, great sporting activities, fitness centres etc, as well as good restaurants and bars and excellent shopping opportunities. We plan to return later in the year.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent! The room was super clean, the bed was comfortable. and the bathroom was great- excellent shower pressure! We had access to an elevator which helped with the bags and we had a fantastic view of the area on the top floor along with a balcony. I had a minor issue with the reservation on booking.com and the manager/ owner was very accommodating and helped me resolve it. I would highly recommend this property. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

lovely location, great in the summer and if you are there for the dark sky park (for those night photographers, or just astronomy lovers) its perfect. Go on a new moon though as that is when the sky is at its best.

In November you do not have much to do there.
In November you do not have much to do there. We found only on restaurant and one café house open, nothing else.
I did not get why any (zero!) souvenir shop is not existing there - I am sure tourists would appreciate to buy some small souvenirs and support the local business by doing this.

Such a wonderful place.
Such a wonderful place. Beautiful buildings and great cafes and restaurants. The Traunsee tram makes public transportation easy. The only downside is the short term parking, so got to look for pricey underground parking or free parking lots which are far away.
