Lovely location in the middle of the vineyards. Spacious and comfortable studio with a great bed as well as pleasant bed linen. The communication with Eszter was absolutely great, really kind and pro-client approach. There is a pool in the garden to cool down after a day of Wachau exploration. Last but not least - the breakfast concept - “spoiling pure” - one can hardly imagine a better start of a vacation day.

Everything. The hostess and host were so wonderful. She picked me up. They served me s lovely meal . She even took me to my destination of Heldenberg so I could see the horses i came to see. Also she recommended a local walk in the village and that was lovely. This was such a delight and made my very short 3 day trip to Austria the highlight . As a solo traveler this was perfect for what I was looking for

Quiet, countryside location just off the freeway. Very helpful staff - Benny went out his way to help. New, clean, modern hotel with the latest technology. Excellent ample parking facilities around the premises. Excellent bar with a relaxing ambience, and a restaurant serving great comfort food at fair prices. It was 21:30, I was tired from driving all day, I didn't know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprise by how good it it. A welcome and relaxing environment.

It was absolutely beautiful. The building was gorgeous, the rooms were the perfect mix of spacious and cosy, the staff was so friendly and accommodating, and the terrace was spectacular. It was, without a single doubt, perfection. A special mention goes to the level of care and attention the owners show: we saw them everywhere, always with a smile or a recommendation for us, and as a guest, you could clearly see how much it meant to them for their guests to have the nicest experience possible. My family and I would be delighted to stay here again, and are definitely planning to. See you next year!

Krems is an enchanting old Baroque town on the Danube with gorgeous architecture, a fascinating history from the Medieval through the Baroque to today. Fabulous and quirky museum encompassing the thousand years of the town's history, beautiful churches and charming cafes, restaurants and beer houses. The Wachau valley is Austria's main wine-producing area and its wines are superb. It's also famous for its apricots so there are plenty of schnapps, nectar and desserts featuring them. Sadly we couldn't do a boat cruise as the Danube was very low, but visits to the spectacular Medieval/Baroque Abbey of Melk, and nearby Durntein, famous for its bell-tower and ruins of the castle where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned by ths Duke of Austria and rescued by his minstrel Blondel All in all a fascinating, enchanting and spectacular region to visit

An incredibly historic, picturesque place. Wonderful to finally visit! I didn’t have the opportunity to stop at the Museums but I would have liked to, as they offer a comprehensive understanding of the history of the region. I really enjoyed my stay at the Bioweingut Schmidl- comfortable and easy to access the walled city.

This would be a lovely hotel for those that enjoying cycling or hiking on the area. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet as well as the hospitality of the staff and the breakfast are exceptionally wonderful. There is nothing much to do in melk unless you enjoy the outdoor activities so this hotel is perfect for that or a short 1-2 night stay as you explore Austria

Lovely peaceful, historic town in vine growing area.

Lovely peaceful, historic town in vine growing area. Good public transport facilities, great place for visiting other nearby towns/villages, right by the river Danube. Great for cycling, walking , river trips, wine tasting. Lots of cafes and restaurants . My only complaint as a person who suffers from coeliac disease is the only shop, The Spar , did not sell any gluten free bread that you could eat off the shelf, you had to toast or bake it. This made things more limiting than they already were for us.

The region offers a lot of interesting features, mainly for people who seek silence and recreation. There are not too many tourists, on weekends Gmünd is deserted except for the main square with its cafés and pretty facades. The area offers a lot to people in terms of hiking and bikeriding, there is a narrow gauge railway travelling through fairy tale forests, castles, spas etc.

Weissenkirchen is an absolutely fantcastic place right in the heart of Wachau. The landscape and architecture are amazing. The city is full of history and at the same time very contemporary and nicely kept. Explore the many narrow lanes and foothpaths and make sure to taste the local specialities and drinks in the many "Heurigens" in Weissenkirchen. If you are into Wine this is definitely one of the best places to go in Austria. My favourites were white wines, namely the Rieslings and Grüner Veltliners. The white wines are rated in three classes: For me it works out this way: Starting a good dinner with a light Steinfeder as an apperitive, followed by a Federspiel for the main course and crowned by the full bodied Smaragd with remarkable bouquet and taste together with the amazing Marillenknödel as dessert.
