"The area of Ittre has a lot of green places with horses and cows. It's close to Brussels and Waterloo as well as other places where you can visit museums, etc... The town of Ittre itself seems quite small but has a shop, pizza place, etc..., so probably everything one needs. I'm not sure how it is in the winter, but in the summer, it's lush and beautiful around the farm roads - yet always a close drive to a city."

Booked an apartment room for 3 people on the day of the arrival after got notice that my previous booking in another apartment in Brussels was cancelled. The parking was free and spacious. It was near from highway so it’s suitable for transit. The room was nice and clean.

Beautiful house with such attractive gardens. Huge, well-furnished bedroom and bathroom. Very tasteful decor throughout. The gardens and swimming pool provided a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the birdsong. The hosts are so kind and thoughtful, who helped us so much with a difficulty we had regarding train booking. The breakfast was very good and served in a dining room overlooking the front garden and pond. It is a quiet and isolated location so it was useful to be able to have a very tasty evening meal that was offered by the establishment as the nearest restaurant was quite a long cycle ride away. Secure bike storage is offered.

The accommodation was excellent, particularly with the small kitchenette, which was equipped with cutlery, plates, Kettle, coffee machine, microwave and stove top. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet at night. We were very happy with our accommodation here. It also provided safe storage for our bicycles, which is essential for us as cyclists. We did not have the breakfast so cannot comment on this. however we would recommend this accommodation.

Nivelles city is attractive and interesting but the hotel is quite a distance out of the town. It is advisable to eat in the town as currently there is no food available in the vicinity apart from brakfast at the hotel

The museum was excellent.

The museum was excellent. Exhibits very well presented - particularly the display of uniforms and models. Very informative and something for everyone whether a Waterloo expert or uninitiated. All parts of the battlefield and areas of interest well signposted. The panorama was exceptional as was the view from the Lion's Mound and definitely worth the climb. Take walking shoes.

I liked the atmosphere of a small university town, with much green and large downtown pedestrian areas, including some restaurants, a market (on Tuesdays) and other conveniences. There are many trains to Louvain-la-Neuve from Brussels, it can however be a bit tricky to find your place unless you have access to street mapping, then it's easy.

Waterloo was more than we expected.

Waterloo was more than we expected. Plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants. Public transport really easy and convenient for us. We spent a day in Brussels, a day in Ghent and a day at Waterloo. The museums and historic sites around Waterloo were fantastic. Some great pubs in Ghent near the castle . Waterloo brewery has a great restaurant. The Dulle Griet pub in Ghent was a great experience .

A long-time underestimated city has become a really nice...

A long-time underestimated city has become a really nice place to visit and stay in. There is a vibrant restaurant and bar scene, excellent shopping, and several visit-worthy museums within 10 minutes walking from the center. Louvain-la-Neuve is also surrounded by green areas, so there are many outdoor activities as well - jogging around the lake, strolling in the forest, golf, or equitation. Everything can be reached by foot, but if needed, you can rent a cambio car to get to the places away from the city. There is also a "minibus on demand ("TEC a la demande") " service that can bring you around LLN and neighboring communes.

This is a fabulous little town, more so because my daughter...

This is a fabulous little town, more so because my daughter and her husband live there in this wonderful village. And she had given us the name of this bed and breakfast and we stayed there and as I mentioned before, everything was just excellent.
