- From $151.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 2,374 reviewsThis hotel greatly exceeded my expectations. The staff went above and beyond. The location was easy to find yet in a very quiet, wooded location. I was delighted to learn that we would be in one of the amazing, one-of-a-kind suites they built on site. Each building was a completely different, unexpected design and was modern, comfortable, and placed to take advantage of the view into endless woods. Kudos go especially to Lynda at the front desk who went out of her way to not only straighten out our arrival reservation but, when we did not have a reservation for dinner,- it turns out it was a special festival weekend in town and most places were booked - spent a loooong time on the phone calling local restaurants to find a lovely area restaurant for our party of four. The grounds of the hotel were designed to take advantage of the wooded location, with fish ponds around the property. There were tables and benches in public areas outside where one could spend quiet, private time - I used my computer one afternoon, enjoying the sunshine outside while drinking a cold beer. I would definitely stay here again and encourage my friends to stay here, too.Guest review byKathyGermany
- From $148.13 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,339 reviewsMy stay was an exceptional experience. The hotel is really beautiful and the decoration is elegant. The room was pleasant, and spacious, the bed comfortable. All staff members from night front desk receptionist to cleaning young lady were quite nice. Breakfast is awesome, a lot a variety : cold meats, cheese, pastries, a chef to cook eggs on demand, etc.. I loved this hotel, it revives the tradition of grand hotels. Far more that what you can expect from an airport hotel. More over the parking is free during your stay, and even for people from outside the hotel during 6 hours.Guest review bySteeveBelgium

Charlerois not an obvious tourist destination, as it really is a struggling city. But the upper town with the art deco town hall and the main church on an octagonal square has the feel of slightly surrealist film set. One can have a nice stroll through city, exploring its different layers of time and the life of the inhabitants with their very mixed heritage. And if you are inclined to adventures of the everyday, you will enjoy this city.Guest review byChristophNetherlands - 8.0

We've been to Mons twice and both times it seemed a bit 'grey'. If you're from the UK, the potholes in the roads will make you feel at home. The best bits are the Lago swimming pool with brilliant slides and a whirlpool which kids absolutely love. Just make sure you're wearing the regulation swimming gear. No baggy shorts allowed. We had to buy new ones last year and used them again on this trip. The most moving aspect which we came to see previously and visited again this time was the site of the first day of WW1 and the memorial to Maurice Dease and Sidney Godley VCs under the Nimy railway bridge. The final resting place of Lt Dease is the St Symphorien Military Cemetery, just outside of Mons. The central square in Mons is the place to go for dining out. Rather strangely, we ate at a sushi restaurant, which was pretty good.Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom - 4.0

The room was comfy and good. I had the cleaner breathing down my neck cause I checked out right on 10am. This place lacked atmosphere, and the breakfast wasn't great.Reception staff were friendly and helpful.Guest review byIngrid SAustralia - 10.0

what a nice city, very clean. lots of opportunities to visit museum, restaurant. We also made a tour with city guide that was very pleasant. we discovered the beautiful cathedral. Also the region is very nice to discover by bicycle. But prepare to be "out in the blue", not many shops, restaurants in the neighborhood.Guest review byChristBelgium - 10.0

Lac de l'Eau d'Heure is a pleasant spot for a few days' vacation, it has a lot of activities for kids and adults alike. There are some beach areas that are nice. Easy to cycle around the lake and there are some good restaurants to choose from which are within easy reach with a bike.Guest review byOrsolyaUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Perfect location for visiting Pairi Daiza.
Perfect location for visiting Pairi Daiza. Kids are tired after long day in zoo, so then it is convenient if you have a location close by. City center of Ath looks also nice for a stroll, but we did not do this because we had not enough time left for thisGuest review byPeterNetherlands - 10.0

Nice small country town with new industrial facilities kept out of town. Nice farming country landscapes. Highways nearby (N7, E429). Multiple great and casual eating facilities and new grocerystore nearby. Fifteen min. to Paira Daiza (largest zoo in all of Europe), 45 min. from Brussels and airport, 25 min. to Tournai/Doornik.Guest review byAndreBelgium - 4.0

I would not recommend that for children, even with people with disabilities; just saying! no pic to upload waste of time, unfortunately, as I had straight to Brussels city centre next day with the family.Guest review byJ JacaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

It's not a big town, but a lot has happened in Mons over the centuries, especially the last 150 years. We didn't find a lot of well-presented tourist interest but we found it easy to explore on foot. Away from the Grand Place, it quickly becomes parochial; there is renovation going on but it all feels as if it's driven and funded locally.Guest review byNicholasUnited Kingdom
