The food was absolutely amazing hot fresh and very tasty.

The restaurant was good- starters are crazy expensive nearly same price as the mains so we had mains only. Mains were great!

I really enjoyed Mons.
I really enjoyed Mons. This was the second time here but the first was really long enough to do any sightseeing so this time around there was more time and enjoyed taking the short walk to the grand palace center. Nice cafes and restaurants. Visited the Belfry and spent some hours there. It was a nice view and what was really great was being there when the clock rang. Being able to see the bells functioning was really amazing.

The animal park is astonishing, the best one I have ever been to, absolutely worth the visit even without kids. Especially in spring when everything is blooming. The fauna goes without saying but also the plants and flowers are wonderful as well as the architecture, taken to the perfection. And the steam train! 15 out of 10 for me!

Nice small country town with new industrial facilities kept out of town. Nice farming country landscapes. Highways nearby (N7, E429). Multiple great and casual eating facilities and new grocerystore nearby. Fifteen min. to Paira Daiza (largest zoo in all of Europe), 45 min. from Brussels and airport, 25 min. to Tournai/Doornik.

Perfect location for visiting Pairi Daiza. Kids are tired after long day in zoo, so then it is convenient if you have a location close by. City center of Ath looks also nice for a stroll, but we did not do this because we had not enough time left for this

This is not a holiday destination - I suspect more business travellers use this hotel and for that it is perfect. Rooms are tidy, neat and the beds offer wonderful sleeping comfort; great for an important meeting the next day ! All ammenities are seemingly geared to business travellers but for people like my wife and I, it also served the purpose of a one night stay-over perfectly. Breakfast is not as lavish as one would expect from a holiday destination but perfectly sufficient for either a hungry traveller that checked in late the night before or a small eater wanting only a croissant, youghurt and a cup of coffee. I will recommend this hotel to anyone.

The city of Mons is one of those towns that is overlooked in...
The city of Mons is one of those towns that is overlooked in Belgium. You can use this small villa as a hub to go and visit the nearby towns. The train station was recently updated beautifully. You can reach Brussels in one hour from Mons by train. Either in winter or summer, Mons is worth a visit.
