We did not stay in Kelowna except for night we arrived and...

We did not stay in Kelowna except for night we arrived and the night before our flight. It is a big city, and it stretches along the highway for miles. Busy, lots of traffic. Every chain store you can think of is there. We had hoped for a boat tour on the lake but they don't start up til May 2 and then, only weekly for awhile. So we missed the one that happened while we were there as we were out of town. Flights to and from Kelowna were full, so it seems to be a hub for travel. Lots of families and even a team from a high school headed to Toronto. They were well behaved on the flight. There are a couple of cinemas in town but I could not see where there was any live theatre or music events while we were in the area. Climate is nice of course...they seem to get early heat and little humidity. Or at least, less than Southern Ontario. I would suggest that you need a car, to explore the area, and find the little hidden treasures in the countryside, including spectacular scenery.

There's a reason why Big White is rated very highly among ski resorts for best family ski resort. They really have something for everyone's abilities and runs that families can enjoy together. With great apres ski, restaurants, bars, and other resort amenities to make your trip feel special you'll be planning your next trip back before you leave!

I visit Kelowna because my daughter lives there.

I visit Kelowna because my daughter lives there. I always have an enjoyable time with her when I go. Kelowna is a great place to spend time and go out. People are friendly and there’s a lot to do. Great restaurants and a good cultural art scene.

A large ski resort with many trails and lifts to choose from...

A large ski resort with many trails and lifts to choose from. Very close to the city of Kelowna. Perfect snow condition in the middle of spring break. Decent restaurants around and even has a market if you forgot the milk. Rental was easy and staff was great and friendly. We also had a great time tubing on our last day - recommended after you are exhausted from skiing but still want some silly snowy fun. You can get to everywhere if you are on your skis, otherwise you can take the shuttle and gondola to get around. Overall the kids wanted to stay longer than 4 days, but the grown ups had all the fun we needed and were ready to get back to real life.

First visit, I was on way to Revelstoke in winter. I had no idea Kelowna was this large & yet is a really pretty location lake and riverside, right at the start of wine country. I’d visit the city again for longer.

Big White Ski Resort was absolutely amazing, we went in...

Big White Ski Resort was absolutely amazing, we went in January for 6 nights. I have skied in Japan and Australia and this was by far the best. The snow was amazing, the lines for the lifts were very short. The staff at the restaurants were lovely as was the food and choices. The ski rental and lift passes were very reasonable and staff extremely helpful. I would absolutely go there again.
