Good impression as soon as walking in. Friendly staff and very clean. That extended right through to the elevators, hallways and rooms. I commented several times at how clean things were. We were there for a family wedding and seemed like same opinion from all. We had a king bed room and it was very spacious. Loved the little kitchen sink, cupboard, microwave and fridge area. Very convenient. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast which is included was delicious with great options. Oh I shouldn't forget---The popcorn 🍿 was so good!! Keep up the good work!! ** side note---- not sure why it said it was a 2 star hotel when we looked it up. It very much exceeds that.***

I was in Edmonton for 5 nights, visiting a relative. The Varscona was an ideal place to stay, brilliant location for me on Whyte Avenue, and a real haven of peace. I had a great view from 5th floor room. Spacious room, very comfortable bed, could make tea and coffee in room. Staff all very friendly.

Plan for events or specific attractions like museums or Fort Edmonton, concerts, conventions, etc. Edmonton, at least right now, is not a fun or attractive city to visit just to walk around and experience the city. Homeless and drug addicts are rampant, particularly downtown, but unless you're in a well off residential area, you can expect to see them anywhere. While most of them will leave you alone, you can't rely on that and remain safe. Some are violent and unpredictable. Were it not for this, Edmonton could be a much more enjoyable experience. In short, you don't go for Edmonton, you go for the event or specific place being hosted by Edmonton.

Hinton Alberta is a community of 9000 people at the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. Although small, there is a flourishing arts community there and friendliness typical of many small towns making the visit to Hinton something not to be missed by those heading west whether to Jasper or beyond

Stayed in Leduc as attended a wedding at Black Barn wedding venue. We were about 30 minutes from the wedding and this was the best option for accommodation. Also - access to restaurants and a grocery store was helpful. We also found time to go for a walk at Telford Lake. There is a lovely paved walking path at the lake so we were able to get some exercise.

The location is good and quiet, south of the busy major city. It’s highly industrial and traffic was quite busy upon arrival, had to take a couple of detours due to the high congestion. There wasn’t much for food options near the hotel we stayed in but it isn’t too far of a drive to where the majority of shopping etc. is. Fairly short drive to the event destination in Edmonton and Nisku is less busy/quieter which is a plus.

It is a great place to stop on the way to anywhere in Alberta, it gave us a good rest on the way to Cranbrook. Next time we would stay a little longer and get in a game of golf. the scenery is great and the people are super friendly.

Red Deer has become a good place to accommodate people with mobility disabilities relatively speaking. My brother used a wheelchair and I could take him places because of the wheelchair ramps.The Collicutt Pool has a wheelchair ramp for one of their hot pools. There are also wheelchairs to use for free to take into the water. If someone is incontinent it's still a possibility for the person to go into the water. The rule is to wear a swim diaper and plastic pants.

We had a lovely meal at Denny's--we didn't want much, but got a tasty falafel salad to enjoy together. The Superstore had just what I needed--a birthday present, a sympathy card, some gluten-free goodies to add to the funeral reception lunch--in and out was easy. We didn't really get to any other venues this trip. All the time with family.

We were in town to visit my son and his family so our visit was primarly with family however we are enjoying our visits to St Albert and learning to get around for shopping. Avoiding St Albert Trail access from street lights seems to take a long time.

The main purpose of our visit was to meet up with my uncle whom I had not seen for about 20 years. So little time was spent going around Edmonton. We did however, enjoy the West Edmonton shopping mall which was across the road from our hotel. We shopped and ate in the food court, which offered meals from Afghanistan to China and Japan, not forgetting Nigeria. There was an Ice rink, a water feature with a huge Galleon, a Seal performance and a fairground. There was something for everyone. It was awesome!

Clean +++, polite and responsible administrator, correct prices for this services { conditioner noisy, shared washrooms and showers ), but for seniors with low income it is good, in comparison with other hotel prices. I recommend the hotel for other people.
